  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Obviously I do have to be dentist and try to drill the answers to honest questions out of you.

You avoid the question and refuse to speak plainly about what you believe, always playing childish word games about how to label or not label your beliefs. I'm really sick of it. I don't give a damn what you think anymore. If you can't stand up like a man for what you believe in then what difference does it make what you believe in?

No, you have been caught in your own lie. You said that I said something I did NOT say. I've said EXACTLY what I believe in. You just want to twist it into something else like the troll you are. I have "manned up" but you have not. You continue to name call like a child on the playground.

The wages of sin is death. I've said this before, but you don't want to believe it. OK. Whatever troll. The wages of sin is not torture in hell and it is not annihilation. The word annihilation isn't even in the bible, but death is.

Man up and stop namecalling. Grow up.

That does not even remotely address the question of whether or not you think that billions of non-Christians will suffer eternal death. Are you capable of addressing a plainly addressed question? Clearly not.

I have never even remotely engaged in a lie. That is just a puerile tantrum on your part. I've done my best to make sense of your cryptic statements and constant evasion.

Well who knows whether or not the facts agree with what you think because no one can possibly guess at what you believe in, you are so evasive about it.

Do you believe that billions of non-Christians are damned or don't you? That is a simple enough question asked a dozen times already and still you play stupid games of evasion. At this point, I don't care what your answer is, your opinion is rendered completely irrelevant if you can't express it.
Troll.

You can't answer a straight question if your life depended on it. That is what I mean by man up. Act like a man, stop acting like an evasive child. Oh well, I give up. Who gives a damn what you think if you won't stand up like a man for what you believe.

BTW, Hilsage, I owe you a second apology. I understand now why I jumped down your throat for what seemed to me on second thought like very little provocation. I realize now that it is dealing with Timothew that put me at the edge of my tolerance. You have always been very straight forward so I am doubly mystified about why I took it out on you. I'm going to go back and search for that post that I wrong jumped down your throat for and make it up to you by addressing it with the respect that it deserves.

I put up with your childish attacks for months without getting angry, but your cheap attacks need to stop. You make yourself look foolish. You tell me to man up, but nobody is really fooled by your immature behavior.
Oh, you've had it so rough from me, always asking you honest questions.

Show me where I said this.

Either show me where I said this or admit that you lied.

I made the inference once, then you made evasive answers without denying anything. So I confronted you with the quesiton a dozen times since and all you have done is evade. I have never lied, I made one attempt to try and figure out your statement and then proceded to ask questions repeatedly, without getting any straight answers.

Timothew, I really don't care what you think anymore. Like I said, if you can't stand up for what you believe like a man, but instead play all sorts of evasive childish games and demand that your opinion by drilled out of you by a dentist, then so be it. Who cares what you think? I certainly don't.

Your views are atheistic.
Disbelief in an afterlife is atheistic. No two ways about it.

Instead of answering straight forward questions that is all you have done.

Yes these are "honest questions."
That is right, instead of getting honest answers to honesst questions all I've gotten from you are accusation about how I am supposedly attacking you by asking you honest questions and not getting an honest answer.

These are trolls. Admit it.
You can't answer a straight forward question. Admit it.

And I believe you're also correct concerning my 'revelation from God' versus yours from the church. Unfortunately most of 'the church' really wasn't getting much revelation at all, based upon my 25 years in that environment (many of which were in leadership positions).
This leads to two main questions, what is the nature of your revelation and which church were you in that you so disagreed with? (And thirdly which church are you in now, or are you in any? [None is a fine answer in my opinion.])

My experience was that most are bottom feeders with a minimalist salvation experience who are merely eating up whatever a pulpit puts out on Sunday.
I certainly agree with that, although I think that my experience runs farther afield than your's does.

Scripture would seem to support that view too concerning majority understanding. Every time Israel voted as the majority in the bible, they too missed God. Sadly some things just don't change and history repeats itself.
I agree that the massses usually get it wrong.

PRO 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal things (from all), but the glory of kings (the minority) is to search things out.
I'm content with my scripturally supported 'minority' view versus your "majority" one.
My view is far from a majority view, my experience of my former incarnations being a prime example of how my view is not the majority Christian view at all.

Your quote above proves my very point. You couldn't deal with the verse and the questions I asked, so you want to 'duck and jive' because you have no scriptural defense. I say it supports my view of God along with the rest of 'correctly translated scripture'. So please just answer the questions of that verse with your point of view AND SCRIPTURE.
Well I admit that you really got me on the Greek word 'pas' (which was sometime after this interchange). I have to admit that I have a lot of sympathy for your point of view, but I do not believe that Hitler is in any way saveable.
Everything you just said is in opposition to the defined definitions of any quality reference out there. And if you're serving a 'wishing' deist view of God, then you have my sincere theist condolences.
I think this is incorrect, what God desires and what is possible are two different things. God wishes that we wouldn't have to suffer, but we must to fulfill God's purposes. God does not wish that we suffer. But we must, despite what God wishes here.

==============================

I must add that I can't understand at all why I blew up at you over this post. I was really venting on you. You made honest assertions and only once did you actually even say something that I really disagreed with (right at the end).

Disbelief in an afterlife is atheistic. No two ways about it.
No, disbelief in God is atheistic. Disbelief in an afterlife is a-afterlifistic. However, as I said before, I do believe in the afterlife. Eternal Life in Christ is the afterlife.

You are doing nothing BUT that right at the moment.

Instead of answering straight forward questions that is all you have done.

That is right, instead of getting honest answers to honesst questions all I've gotten from you are accusation about how I am supposedly attacking you by asking you honest questions and not getting an honest answer.

You can't answer a straight forward question. Admit it.

I answered, you just didn't like the answer. Annihilate is not an accurate term. There are 2 final conditions. Eternal life in Christ or the 2nd Death.

Now answer my question. Why do you continually claim that I don't believe in an afterlife when I clearly believe in the afterlife? Is it because you want to paint me with a false brush the way you did before?

Since you can't say where I said it, it proves you lied about me. Now you won't even man up and admit that you lied. Who cares what you think? Who knows what you think? You lie.

I think it is interesting that Jehovah's Witnesses' are the main ones that hark on this. You aren't JW are you?
:D That's one rock you don't have to worry about in my head...though I have met some that meet the requirements of being 'saved' IMO. Beyond that they just have more bad doctrine than you. ;)

I will check out the website you posted and read the article....if I can catch up here first.

I'd be happier if you and Timothew could work things out. What's been going on between the two of you should be in the PM's, they really don't speak well for either of you on the WWW.

1. You've experienced several revelations here in my discourses, the others would just be off topic. We'll meet again somewhere on the others I'm sure. 2. I was in the Catholic church 19 years, the LUTHERAN church!!! for 2 years after getting born again, then it was home churches for 17, and in an independent charismatic 'sorta' for 23 years, and question 3. A home church again for the last 2 years come November.

I certainly agree with that, although I think that my experience runs farther afield than your's does.
That might be an interesting "field" comparison. Especially with you being the young pup between the two of us.

My view is far from a majority view, my experience of my former incarnations being a prime example of how my view is not the majority Christian view at all.
Very unLutheran that's for sure. So why are you Lutheran? What's your past history?

but I do not believe that Hitler is in any way saveable.
He can't 'incarnate' but you can...why would that be?

I must add that I can't understand at all why I blew up at you over this post. I was really venting on you. You made honest assertions and only once did you actually even say something that I really disagreed with (right at the end).
I have to admit this was pleasant LM, I hope it can both, 'last for us' and 'spread to others'....one in particular comes to mind. :) I once heard it is the 'most mature' one whose responsibility it is to seek reconciliation....ouch. I always hated that saying...how do you like it? Or you Timothew?

Good nite my brothers.
