  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am 65 years old and have been a born again, Spirit filled, Bible believing, conservative Christian for 40 years. What I am about to say will get some flak but I think it's time to say it. In the 50's and 60's you could be a Christian and vote either Republican or Democrat and I think the difference was a minor difference of how government finances are handled. In today's world, I do not believe you can have the Holy Spirit residing in you and vote liberal. Let's review what "liberal" stands for today.

Liberals have murdered 55,000,000+ babies through abortion, they have attempted to rewrite the constitution to fit their atheistic ideas such as the "so called" separation of church and state, they have done everything they can to remove references to God and His Holy Word from everything public, they have become so "politically correct" that they try to remove the words "radical Islam" from documents, they steal from future generations in order to give out "free stuff" to the masses, they lie, they look the other way when hundreds of military people have become sexual perverts, they promote the homosexual agenda and vote for gay marriage, and in general they have become so corrupt that only God Himself can fix their mess.

It may possible that some who vote for liberals have been deceived and will eventually see the light but I have come to the firm conclusion that, in general, you CANNOT be a liberal and be a Christian. You CANNOT have the Holy Spirit residing in you and promote liberalism. If you don't believe me, read The Word. It's all in there and there is no longer any doubt about it. Liberalism has become evil. Liberals are an enemy to
God and an enemy this nation that God has blessed so abundantly. You can give me excuses but if you have God's Spirit, you know what I am saying is true.

Lord God, Creator of all things. The One who Was, who IS, and will EVER BE. We pray for the souls of those who would try to destroy this great nation that you blessed from its inception. We pray for the souls of those who promote abortion and homosexual agendas. We pray for those who lie and deceive and think they can have eternal life without doing what Jesus said to do. You cannot just claim to be a Christian, you must do what Jesus said to do! For the sake of the elect Lord God, save us from liberal thinking. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Read your post and couldn't find a thing that I disagree with. We're a dying breed, I'm afraid. The public school system certainly isn't preparing young minds to think ethically, morally, or logically. Those poor children are being bombarded with liberal indoctrination. Christian parents had better snatch their children from the talons of the Socialist vultures before it's too late.

It's sadly the way things are. Here in the Uk, the Anglican Church and others has yielded to the 'correctness' and now go firmly against God's word in their ordination of women and support for gay rights.

However sad this is, we could, paradoxically, rejoice at the prophesy that heralds the coming of the Lord.

II Timothy 3:1-5,7 "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Just go and take a look at the Liberal forum on this site to get a flavor of what this scripture is about.

I personally feel that if we openly challenge PC'ness, it can work against us as Christians. We should be influencing and working quietly in the background. We should be undermining those with such views. We should also vote with our feet including removing our patronage from institutions that espouse activity against the word of God.

It's true. Select any Liberal who claims a church affiliation, and you'll find a person who chooses his religion because it supports his political ideas.

And if you consider any controversial social issue, the Liberal's defense of his position is likely to be "Jesus DIDN'T say..." instead of "Marx said..." but only because they think that's a way of hitting US where WE live.

PC, be damned! I am with Gentlementech48. I am older than him and I have always been out spoken and won't stop now. I love my kids, grandkids, etc and I don't stop talking about them and I have a deep love for my Lord Jesus Christ who rescued me out of a cult and I certainly will not stop talking about him. So PC liberal people go stick it in your ear. In fact I will even help you.

What is politically correct about Jesus? Nothing. He was a man who called the politically correct religious leaders white walled sepulchers, blind leading the blind, hypocrites, fools, and died on the cross while His the people for which He died spat, smote, tried him in a mock trial, whipped Him, and left Him to die. Political correctness would say leave them be and voice not your notion or die for them.

If I understand what you are saying, you think we should just let the world go to Hell and not speak up? I hope you are not saying that because that is not why we are here.

No sir. I am saying a politically correct Christian is a liar and makes the Good News of the finished work of Jesus of none effect. Let's not forget the Great Commission of Matthew 28.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Our duty is to go and "...teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:", which is obvious and ought to require no explanation, doing so in no fear or trepidation because of the complete, almighty power of Jesus "...in heaven and earth", "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Should we not fulfill that command, we err in the same way, but also err in denying the free gift of the cross unto the world, a gift freely given.

I don't think that that was the idea at all. Rather, it was that when speaking up you should not try to pass off your political values as being somehow in step with Scripture or historic Christianity when, as in the case of Liberal PC values, they are anything but compatible.

If only politics would pass away now. I wish we could leave it at preaching the cross.

But if we all do that, the militant Atheists and Secular Humanists would make the churches into underground churches under persecution. There's no sense in inviting that outcome.

But neither do we want to show a lukewarm faith to others.

The Republican party in the US seems to think that they can win the country by being extra nice to the leftists.

We saw how that worked out in the last presidential election...

Very true. Having had that experience, they seem to have decided to accelerate their 'extra niceness' campaign.
