I think that this will be used to implement the Mark of the Beast personally, but that is my two cents!

You should read this book, though I don't subscribe to this theory, it was interesting reading, and talked quite frequently of the whole cashless society and mark of the beast.

I saw on the news this morning that in England they're contemplating using microchips planted in pedophiles in order to track where they're going.  Such as, near a school, etc.....

That takes a different twist, doesn't it?

The chip, which was developed by Florida-based company Applied Digital Solutions, carries information about the patients medical history, thus if something happens to the patient doctors will be able to gain instant access to information to their history, what medications that are taking, any allergies they have, and their next of kin contact details. By giving doctors this information, they can avoid potential drug interactions or drug allergies, which can be fatal. The chip will also simply and speed up the process of identifying unconscious patients. According to Keith Bolton, chief technology officer at Applied Digital Solutions, the chip could be a lifesaver. VeriChip is roughly the same size of a grain of rice.

Can you please elaborate on what exactly this chip will do in order to make it "the Mark of the Beast"?
I can see tremendous utility in a chip that carries financial information (so you don't need to carry around money), your medical information, your personal information (so someone can return a lost child to you), etc. None of these things are in any way sinful and I fail to see how a chip that does these things would be the infamous Mark. That's like saying everyone wearing orange hats must be wearing the Mark of the Beast. There just seems to be no correlation between the chips and the Mark.

I really don't see this as fitting the "mark of the beast" concept very well. I think we just tend to project our fears onto everything new which we don't understand.

No biggie though. All UPC codes have 3 numbers, a 6 at the beginning, a 6 in the middle and a 6 at the end.

That is the WHOLE POINT! To brainwash society into thinking how easy it is to not have to carry around credit cards, or cash or check books. How hard would it be also, to put a little "666" somewhere on this little microchip, or IN it for that matter? You have a number that identifies you that can be read with a scanner, and BINGO! you no longer need cash. In turn, this promotes a cashless society which is predicted in Revelation.

Once the gov't implants this chip into you, they can now pinpoint you ANYWHERE on the face of the planet with satellites and Global Positioning. You will not be safe, and you will no longer have privacy.

It's one thing to put these things into a dog, but a completely other to put one in a human being.

Especially those ones in Britain! (Hi Terri! I read that story this morning as well.) Everyone should have a choice to this, and it should NOT be forced upon anyone.

I have to say that I see this as the mark of the beast. Think about this, Satan knows the Word of God, He knows what the Bible tells us about the mark of the beast. He knows that if it's forced on us we will refuse to take it, so he needs to sneak in at first and get as many of us as he can to accept it voluntarily.

Here are few more points to consider.....
They are pushing this as Life saving technology. The Bible tells us not to trust in the things of the world. Only Jesus can save your life.

They have a World Wide Global Database! They are pushing it world wide, as something to keep us safe, I will trust in God to keep me safe not a computer chip.

I can go on and on but what it realy comes down to is this. Will you trust in a thing of this world to keep you and your family safe. Or will you trust in God and Him only?

If you look into what powers these chips you'll see that even though they claim it's leak proof, If it were to leak you would suffer some serious chemical burns. Do boilsome sores say anything here?

Don't let the fear of the world overtake you on this, Don't let fear grab ahold of you and make you think you need this to keep you safe.

Remember Chips are for Dips. sorry for the pun there I just couldn't resist!

Show me where the bible says that the number combination "666"is evil it's a superstition adopted by man.

You seem to being enjoying the world's technology right now.

that doesn't say the number combination "666" is evil. it says it is the number of the beast and of a man. It could have said he'll have one blue eye and one green, would that make that evil?

I'm not depending on it to save my life, and it isn't being implanted under my skin. Did you know the chip attaches itself to the tissue under your skin and actually becomes part of your flesh?  They can't be easily removed.

This exact same story with the exact same company name was being promoted in 1982 at my high school by conservative Christians.

In fact, the microchip as small as a grain of rice was in full production back then (so they said) and was ready to be implemented as soon as Henry Kissinger (who was the anti Christ) was elected president of a 12 member European Union.

Seems things move fairly slowly in the end times. Twenty years and the thing is still not wide spread? Any computer company would have had them all sacked by now. And Henry Kissinger seems out of the running for the presidency of the EU now, especially as there are now more than 12 members.

People will believe the weirdest things. Some people even believe Uri Geller bent spoons with his mind. 

And as someone said - just take it in your left hand. Seems a very easy way to thwart satan: just learn your right from your left.
