And if he is, why all the secrecy? The Bible has never been squeamish about sexual misadventures...
Its speculation, of course, nobody knows what Jesus wrote, and apparently He didn't want it to be preserved.
But the Bible writers like every writer have to leave some things out, and their choices are their choices.
Maybe they respected the wishes of Jesus, implied by the temporary nature of the medium in which He wrote.
Are folks around here aware of the manuscript evidence against this passage being original to John's gospel?
