  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

One of the things my doctor recommended for morning sickness is lemons, or things with lemon juice. So, I bought a couple lemons. I was recently feelings pretty nausious and cut one up, put some sugar on it, and puckered up:kiss: and I'm not nauseated now. Though I'm thinking this relief might only be temporary, if only I had more lemons.:p

I had awful morning sickness and lemons were the ONLY thing that got me through! I read it in a magazine then asked my dr. about it...she said go for it! She did say be wary of peppermint, though. It may be just because of my reflux, but peppermint relaxes the esophagus and can actually make indigestion worse. I STILL live on my lemons. Everytime DH and I go out to eat, I take a cup home and eat them. I keep some around the house, too! I found that lemonade doesn't work the same though... one would think it would.

I like lemons also, but put sugar to help buffer the intense sourness. I cannot stand grapfruit, but that's off the topic.
My doctor gave me a list of those things to try, ginger, vit. b6 (propel.... which I'm drinking right now, it has that vit. b6 in it), lemons, peppermint. The only thing I haven't tried is ginger because the one time I had it I didn't care for it, though I heard gingersnaps help. I pretty much do whatever I'm feeling at the time. Sometimes I need food, and a particular food, and sometimes peppermint wheras other times that would be repulsive, and well, last night it was lemons. Like I said, it helped!

I've not heard of that but i'm going to try it now!

With the ginger they say that eating ginger biscuits doesn't really help - you have to either have ginger tea or pure stem ginger. I love ginger but not like that. i made some ginger stars and put about double the amount of ginger needed - it didn't do anything

Hmmm, I wonder whether they'd really work or not, haven't tried them yet, my bottom is getting so big and I could just see myself overindulging, been having a problem with that.... so it'd probably just go to my well, waist down :(
Let us know if it works. I ate another lemon last night with sugar, and it was yummy, sour, but yummy. I'll have to cut one up to take to work tonight.

Well unfortunately for me, my butt is shrinking so I could afford to eat them as long as they don't make me sick. I can't wait for Christmas because I am SO gonna pig out. I did that @ Thanksgiving and made myself sick tho!!! lol
