  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How do I switch it off and can it be switched on easily as I sometimes need to carry it with me?:

On my old notebook there was an icon named launchpad on the task bar (where the time is also.)
Alternatively you can switch it off: Control Panel (Windows) - Mouse. And either deactivate the launchpad there (but be sure to plug in the wireless mouse before! ;)), or create the icon for the taskbar by clicking the approbriate button.

Well, I'll be using some Word macros at some point, to convert .txt or .html for the Bible Study software so that I'll be able to read it as books!:
I don't know if LibreOffice also offers these tools. But most likely it does, as it is the Linux/Unix aquivalent to Microsoft Office.
I'd give it a try.

I've been reading the Logos User Forums, the forum for the Bible study software I use the most, a lot, and nowhere have I yet seen any macros compatible with LibreOffice, but I may have to read and search more closely one of the sub-forums to find out. (You can "convert" by copy-paste and/or typing manually in LibreOffice though, which is suitable for writing sermons or similar or long notes).
Also, the only major consumer OS Logos doesn't run on, is Linus and Oracle Solaris/Unix, so ...:

Btw, someone over there who seems to know computers, just said:
APU's are not horrible (the APU has the graphics controller built into the CPU it self) and are the way mobile technology seems to be heading...

I don't know how they stack up against a traditional CPU.

I see, and how about looking for the source code of this macro and implementing it in LibreOffice? (I assume it would be written in VB script.)

Yes, that's correct. AMD also has good processors. - Although I am not really a fan of AMD processors in general. But that's rather personal preference.
But the one you have, doesn't belong to the good ones.
