The word "tasted" is the exact same word used in Heb 2:9 - But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.Very interesting -- thanks.
Got some food for thought here.
Verse 4
"tasted the heavenly gift"
(does not say received)
that would be more convincing for me
iow, Jesus fully experienced death for everyone. So in Heb 6, those who "tasted the heavenly gift" experienced it fully.
The problem is in assuming to "fall away" means leaving salvation.
That is virtually impossible, for Jesus said those He gives eternal life shall never perish in John 10:28.
So, if one could actually leave salvation and perish, Jesus either
1. lied, or
2. was just kidding!!!!!
I reject either conclusion. So it's impossible for anyone to leave salvation and perish.
Jesus was clear about that being an impossibility.
