I am a woman, and yes I have disagreed with desi on other threads. The fact is he is still a beliver and a brother in Christ, and even if he was not he still deserves consideration. He is leaving for a month and does not like the idea of being seperated from his wife. He needs support not bashing. We are to treat all people with kindness even if we do not agree with them.thekawasakikid said:You're right, it's not judge and bash. But why should we ignore the fact that in one discussion thread, desi uses Proverbs 31 as a template for other women to live to, but in this thread, for his wife, can conveniently circumnavigate it by quoting the NT and Genesis.
Now, unless I'm very much mistaken, not 'practicing what you preach' is widely understood to be hypocritical, the noun from which is 'hypocrite'.
I don't think I should find desi's chauvinistic double-standards acceptable... unless of course they aren't chauvinistic double-standards...
