Ther is no record of a weekly Sabbath rest in Genesis.

A lot of things changed when mankind fell. Either way, God made the seventh day holy at creation and calls His people to remember to keep it holy. The word holy itself has meaning to God and the fact that Jesus died on the cross does not make the day unholy.

Adam did work before the fall, he was given dominion over the creation and kept the garden. It was pleasure, but it was still responsibilty. As a side note, I believe we'll even be given responsibility in the new heavens and earth as well.

What was Adam not allowed to do on Saturday?

I know where you're going with that. We still live in this 'present age' (olam hazeh). Until heaven and earth pass away (that hasnt happened yet), not one jot or tittle, in no way shall pass away from the law, until everythign is accomplished.

Oh I'm sure God expected them to toil for 7 days every single week with no rest until the Law came into existance...yeah...makes a lot of sense.... sure.

With an absence of Scriptural evidence you are using exageration and speculation by inferring they had to work without ceasing somehow without the Sabbath command. I think millions upon millions of humans throught history in all sorts of cultures have managed to live without a Sabbath, or Sunday, weekly rest.

I'm sure many do, but that doesn't mean that's whats best for the culture. God gave a Sabbath rest, why would He revoke it? What kind of blessing is that to say "here ya go" then say "Oh nevermind, I really didnt mean that"? Why are ya all happy about that prospect?

How could God revoke something that was never given to us? This sounds very exclusive to Israel: 13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy."

I'm glad you a apparently get a blessing from Sabbath observance. The Sabbath is called a sign an covenant and etc. but I don't think it is ever directly called a blessing

Salvation is of the jews. Sorry, you're out.

Boy, you got me there! May I quote this in context?

You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

Yes, salvation is through Jesus Christ who was a Jew. The question is are you of the new covenant that worships the Father in the Spirit and in truth, or are you trying to earn salvation by trying to follow signs given to an obsolete nation?

That fact that He gave it as part of the Old Covenant is a major reason why the New Covenant puts "especially" the sign of the old covenant to rest.;)

The fact that God promised a New Covenant unlike the one made at Sinai seems clear until commentary dislogdes what the scriptures actually say.

We're happy about the New Covenant. The Holy Spirit is the sign of the New Covenant. God said no man will teach His neighbor because all shall know Him.

Obviously I would not agree with everything this video says about there not being a Pope until approx 400 A.D....
....However the fact that Christian worship has nothing to do with paganism is absolutely historical.

The bible states that the early church kept the sabbath. I don't care what man says outside of the bible I go by what the bible says. After jesus' death his followers kept the sabbath according to the commandment. Years after jesus' resurrection paul, gentiles and jews kept the sabbath at the church of corinth. The change to God's law and time was prophesied so it was gonna happen and he has to use man to do it. How it happens could be subtle and gradual but it will happen. In the days of the apostles they could sense the spirit of antichrist working in their day. Sun worship was practiced in those days and sunday or the first day, as it was called, was called the venerable day of the sun. The son of perdition is real as well as the sun god Ra. The vatican city is heavily influenced by sun worship and sun symbols. It amazes me how Satan as charge and authority over how this flow of deception takes place. We are in the last days so there is no time left for any of these prophecies to be fulfilled outside of what has already been fulfilled. Stick to the word of god and you'll be safe. Listen to man and you'll be lost.
