CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm making up practically everything my character will be visiting in NYC. Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square, it's all in there somewhere. Just not quite sure where.

I just tried to get directions from City Bank Center to the Empire State Building, and it had me go the wrong way down a one way street!
But I love this. Without it, I would have never known that you can see the Empire from Macy's.

So, I was thinking... Generally, in an RPG, everyone meets right away, usually within the first few posts. I don't think we should do that here. Start thinking of alone posts, mapping out your character's change throughout the three years. Maybe after a page or two, when we've fully gotten a feel of what the years have been like for our individual characters, then we can rejoin present day and figure how to bump them into one another.
