How about you make whatever point you are trying to make?I'll just assume you don't know either.

How about you make whatever point you are trying to make?I'll just assume you don't know either.
Do you agree with this statement? How about you make whatever point you are trying to make?
Ah.Do you agree with this statement?
"Science has opened a wonderful window into how God creates."
If so, why are you an atheist?
Have you ever seen a socket without a light bulb?Ah.
You are once again reduced to wordplay.
Nothing to see here, moving along...
Creation ex nihilo is "creation from nothing," such as what the Bible claims God did when he created the universe.Anybody else don't know what exnihilo is?
Once again I will ask you to just get to the point.Have you ever seen a socket without a light bulb?
So your answer is "Scientism." Good luck with that.
I've been having good luck with it so far.
Science has produced a lot of things that work, and I have avoided believing things which have no supporting evidence.
So, your belief is based upon faith, while @Kylie's perception of the most probable explanation for aspects of reality is evidence.
Boys and girls, it is time to learn what a word means:Science has opened a wonderful window into how God creates. It's a blessing to have that insight. I don't understand the need to belittle it.
I've dealt with some who get creatio ex nihilo mixed up with creatio ex materia.Anybody else don't know what exnihilo is?
You wouldn't understand.Once again I will ask you to just get to the point.
Do you see a problem with limiting what we can claim to objectively KNOW to what can be tested and verified?Boys and girls, it is time to learn what a word means:
Scientism: Unlike the use of the scientific method as only one mode of reaching knowledge, scientism claims that science alone can render truth about the world and reality. Scientism's single-minded adherence to only the empirical, or testable, makes it a strictly scientifc worldview, in much the same way that a Protestant fundamentalism that rejects science can be seen as a strictly religious worldview. Scientism sees it necessary to do away with most, if not all, metaphysical, philosophical, and religious claims, as the truths they proclaim cannot be apprehended by the scientific method. In essence, scientism sees science as the absolute and only justifiable access to the truth. (PBS)
I am not going to beat a dead horse by again explaining why Scientism is philosophically inadequate. In reality Scientism is universally recognized by philosophers of science to be inadequate and even self-defeating. If you are interested, I'm sure the internet is full of sources explaining why.Do you see a problem with limiting what we can claim to objectively KNOW to what can be tested and verified?
So, basically, science is bad because it can't deal with philosophy and subjective ideas.I am not going to beat a dead horse by again explaining why Scientism is philosophically inadequate. In reality Scientism is universally recognized by philosophers of science to be inadequate and even self-defeating. If you are interested, I'm sure the internet is full of sources explaining why.
And what about the irony of the person who has refused to help me understand their point bemoaning my lack of understanding? The irony of such a statement will not be lost on those who understand the issue.
Anyone can do scientific tests.I'm not a scientist so I could do no such tests on the apple.
Anyone can do scientific tests.
You ever been transferring a file on your computer and it looks like the progress bar has stopped? So you put your cursor at the end of the progress bar and then checkl it again to see if the bar has advanced any more? That's a scientific test.
