IDK what tests I would do. Would I eat it? Not everyone knows how to disprove whether something is created Ex Nihilo. I don't.
How about common sense.
Nobody believes "dog ate homework".

My point was not that we test for creation ex nihilo. My point was that every test we could possibly do would produce results consistent with a natural explanation of the apple.

That's not the experiment being done here.
As if i said it was.
I suggested using common sense.
You can't see how to apply common sense
to the question of whether a new apple just poofed
into existence?

I go with Imaginary
It could hardly be other than imaginary.
There's zero evidence or theory to support
the actual existence of the claimed phenomenon.

AND, it's far from evident- see recent physics-
that existence and non existence is not remotely
as crude and simple as "created from nothing".

The "my way or the highway, believe as I
or you are a hell bound liar" attitude of some
people is quite off- putting. To see the least.

Nobody believes "dog ate homework".
But in that rare, once in a lifetime moment when your dog did eat your homework, and your teacher disbelieves you on principle, she would be wrong, wouldn't she?

Do you think there are any innocent people in jail right now -- convicted by evidence?

Boys and girls, it is time to learn what a word means:
So, your belief is based upon faith, while @Kylie's perception of the most probable explanation for aspects of reality is evidence.

If you can let me know which of my words tested your comprehension I'll do my best to rephrase.

For clarity, your definition of scientism does not alter the intent or meaning of my statement, and thus my statements stands. What is it you find obectionable about it?
