If they never met him and they don't know if he's still alive they've got no idea.
I think I have more evidence now.
You can always be 100% sure though that you have a dad, even if he's not alive anymore, otherwise you wouldn't exist.

You didn't answer my question.

Do you think the average person has more evidence their dad exists, or God exists?

When I see my dad - with my own eyes - I can talk to him, and hear his voice. How does that compare to your "God", if you cannot do the same?
He's Spirit, although you could just see Jesus when He was on earth and talk to Him. Now that's with your spirit that you can see Him and hear Him. Some people just need to see Him and then He can give them a vision to connect the natural with the spiritual.
My brother first didn't believe, but he saw Jesus and a lot of muslims nowadays see Him in a vision.

If I am unaware of something, does it really exist? Perhaps I am omniscient, and know everything there is to know, and my known universe that I can observe is all that truly exists. Everything else remain potentials.
Maybe. Maybe I am just a really convincing robot. So convincing that even I don't know about it. So I guess you've given another example of something that no one can know. But since you state "perhaps" it means that you don't know if you are omniscient. Which makes it impossible to be omniscient if you don't know something.

Did the Americas not exist until the Europeans "discovered it"?

I'm suggesting that every individual consciousness may be the God-Creator of its own universe.

Sure, maybe. But you initially asked why it is that omniscience is impossible, and that's what I was explaining. If you create everything with your conscience, you could know about every thing, but since you can never know if it's everything then you don't know everything and aren't omniscient. The thing you don't know is if you know everything even if you know everything else.

I would say #2. I am as sure as I would be about anything else that God exists. The only belief I am more sure of and the only one that I could put at #1 would be my own existence and consciousness. I cannot deny this fact because the act of denying it would simply prove it to be true. Rene Descartes had basically the same line of reasoning as this.

From that point I am 99.99% sure God exists and 99.98% sure our universe exists.

We are a spirit and have a soul and a body. The soul is your will and emotions. The spirit is your conscience and what makes you wonder if there is a God.
I have a conscience and I do not wonder if there is a "God". Why not just call it a "conscience"?

The popular atheist thinker, Richard Dawkins, created a scale that identifies theistic beliefs. He lists peoples’ beliefs from 1-7.

1. Strong theist. 100 per cent probability of God...

Thoughts?

100% probability. Can you say oxymoron?

You are more certain that God exists than the universe exists?

You think that God is more likely than the reality you experience constantly?

Really?

The universe needs God for its existence but God does not need the universe. The universe started at a point in time and it is not eternal. I do not have to witness or experience something to know that its existence is necessary.

We can't see or touch something like Dark matter but we can infer its based upon necessity.

The universe needs God for its existence but God does not need the universe.

Have you got any evidence to support this claim?

The universe started at a point in time and it is not eternal.

The universe as we know it.

I do not have to witness or experience something to know that its existence is necessary.

And how do you know?

We can't see or touch something like Dark matter but we can infer its based upon necessity.

And we do this by forming models in which we hypothesize what characteristics dark matter has and then projecting that to see what noticeable effects it has on reality. If the model indicates certain effects on reality which have no other explanation, and we then find those effects in reality the way the model predicted them, then it is evidence that the model is accurate.

Have you done this with the concept of God? If so, please show me where, describing what characteristics you used, what your hypothesis stated and your testing of reality to show those effects actually occur.

We actually can see dark matter, to an extent. You see, galaxies are found in clusters of galaxies, and these clusters are found in giant spheres of dark matter. When you look at a galaxy that is behind a dark matter sphere that holds a cluster of galaxies, you can see a ring of light around the sphere of dark matter. The light from the background galaxy is going out in all directions, right? So as it tries to pass by the dark matter, it bends towards the lens of our telescopes and creates that ring. Pretty neat stuff, huh?

Some people claim absolute knowledge of gods. However, their stories are inconsistent, so we know at least some of them are mistaken.
Everyone see the universe differently as well. I have knowledge of God just like the knowledge of the universe and God is even bigger.
