  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I try to exercise weekly if I am able to. I sometimes lift weights and do other fitness types of exercise, though I am not always consistent in the types of exercises that I might do or how often. I go for walks as well, and recently I went for a bike ride. I do chores, so I have to lift 100lb feedbags sometimes if that counts. Otherwise it really can be hard to stick to a routine, but I am trying to do better. lol

I hate exercising. It's one of the most boring things do.

Now, having said that, I do boxing, but that's more because I happen to enjoy it and view it as a hobby rather than doing it for exercise. I'm all for being physically active (biking, hiking, horseback riding, sports, ect.), but jogging or just going to a gym every day? Like, just kill me now.

I may or may not take up yoga some time for it's health benefits, but we'll see.

You do horseback riding? Awesome!

what does everyone do to keep fit?

I find it hard to discipline myself and tried gyms before but its expensive and didnt like the atmosphere.

I like cycling, but I dont have any exercise regime at the moment. I dont know, I tend to get bored with reps and laps. Im not very good at sport but I think I ought to tone my body more. When people do an exercise each day and really train Im impressed they have a dedication and usually the goal is to lose weight, but im already skinny so I need to do the opposite. Lol.
I've been walking to work on days when the weather is
good and my shift isn't more than, say, 5.5 hours long.
My job has me on my feet most of the time as it is, and
the walk takes about 30 minutes. I'm seriously thinking
about being car-free in a few years (I don't enjoy driving
as much anymore, since the accident almost a year ago),
so I'm trying to incorporate walking into my lifestyle a bit
more.

Keeping fit is such a first world problem don't you think? If we didn't have private cars, of course we would have to walk everywhere. But then I think of people in NYC dying of sick building syndrome. So walking around in a city of millions of people and towers with no trees isn't healthy either I suppose.

I have one of these and try to use it twice a day.

I use it two or three different ways, and it works all right. I have a larger system I'd rather use, but it is currently in need of assembling.

I used to go to gym a lot. But I find repetitive work outs very boring. I recently got back into it casually due to my GF.

I play badminton mostly to keep healthy. More interesting than gyming.

Cycling is a good one. I did some long-distance cycling when I was 13 years old, and gave me a nice looking behind.
