Joining a small, but growing, group of influential Republicans that have had enough of the lawlessness in the White House...

Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he's now for Trump's impeachment - CNNPolitics
I remember President Nixon (R) obstructed justice by firing people investigating the Watergate scandal. In the end, Nixon resigned to avoid impeachment. Many Republicans also turned against Nixon. There was a Democrat majority in Congress.

Trump may be investigated for tax evasion and bank fraud based on the release of some of his tax records and bank loan applications.

Finely grew a spine or just going with the flow like he did for the 2 ½ years?

Less spine is required when the White House chief of staff is confessing with the cameras rolling.

Finally grew a spine or just going with the flow like he did for the 2 ½ years?

Kasich has always been willing to go slightly against the grain as I recall. He's certainly more of a centerist voice (not 100%, but closer)
