Not me. This obsession with minutia about the racial background of the various candidates seems kind weird, honestly.

Oh, it's definitely weird. But the point it, it's also not unique to the right. Don Lemon, a decidedly left-wing commentator, questioned Harris' identity, as the video shows.

There is no evidence that anything anyone did actually made any impact to the covid crisis. So I fail to see your point. Your statement fails to explain my point about how Kamala has been crowned the DNC presidential nominee for over 2 weeks and have yet to answer a single question from the press. Kamala and the handlers tried to cover up Biden's cognitive decline for years, so what are they trying to hide now?
I don't think they're running their campaign to suit what you want. They're in a position to choose what they do and where and when they do it. Personally I think it's to let Trump vent as he has been doing. Biden wants the nomination back? Kambala? Are these the considered statements of a presidential candidate?

I appreciate you think this is relevant to, well, something, I guess.

A Kamala Harris presidency will continue the same policies and agendas of the Democratic Party which have been in effect since the inauguration of Joe Biden. The Democratic Party is a political machine and I have no doubts that Harris will say and do whatever that political machine tells her to do and say. However, that machine cannot hide the facts about the high amounts of cumulative inflation over the last 3 1/2 years.
Speaking of inflation.

VANCE: Look, when they say that inflation is down, they mean from a baseline where groceries are already 30% more expensive than they were when Donald Trump was president.

VANCE: And they’re not saying it’s coming down; they’re just saying it’s not going back up as fast as it was three years ago. That is not a reputation or record to brag on; that’s a record to be ASHAMED OF.

Part of the article:

'Following Vance’s speech, a “reporter” from the New York Times decided to take his opportunity to lie about the latest garbage economic report on inflation (which rose another 2.9%) to trip him up. '

I'll skip the (ahem) quality of the reportage (why is 'reporter' in scare quotes? And why 'garbage economic report? It's from the Financial Times for heaven's sake). And point to the note that inflation 'rose another 2.9%'. It hadn't. That's the figure to which it had fallen. And he took the opportunity 'to lie' about that figure to 'trip him up'? It was about as straightforward a question that could have been asked about the economy:

'I’m with the New York Times. I wanted to ask you about the latest economic news this morning, with inflation now being under 3%, the lowest rate since mid-2021. What is your reaction to that news?'

But if you get your 'news' from the Gateway Pundit, I expect no better. Please post more!

Under 3% right now? Big deal. The damage is already done from it previously being much higher than that. My grocery bills are not down 3%. They are up closer to 30% since Biden took office so spare me the rhetoric. I expect no better from the liberal news media.

To be fair, the president doesn't set prices. In my experience, when inflation is up, prices go up...but when inflation goes down, prices don't come down. You can't blame the president for that, you can only blame the companies that provide your groceries.

For example, increased corporate profits account for more of the higher prices people are experiencing than inflation. Profits rose when prices rose during the pandemic due to supply chain problems and other issues, but they never came down when everything else did. Profits soared, and since corporations like that, they kept prices up.

Blaming Biden for this, or Trump who was in office when it all began, is missing the point.

-- A2SG, much as I prefer to blame Trump for anything and everything I can, this I can't....

We have a deceptive administration.
You got that right! Remember when Biden claimed that inflation was 9% when he took office? When it was really about 1.4%. It was nearly a year and a half after he took office before inflation reached 9%.
Plenty of people know the reality of grocery and rent prices no matter how the establishment machine tries to spin it.
Absolutely! My wallet and my bank account speak louder than the spin doctor establishment machine.

You weren't reading 'liberal media'. You linked to an obviously biased outlet that said that inflation had risen another 2.9%. That wasn't even wrong. And inflation hit every country on the planet after covid and Ukraine. I guess you'll find another reason for the increase in all the countries that had right wing governments.

And which country came out of it pretty well (hint: they have the strongest economy in the world at the moment)? Australia likewise did very well to recover and our inflation is 3.8% at the moment. Getting it under 3% is an excellent achievement. Check out everyone else's here: https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/PCPIPCH@WEO/WEOWORLD/VEN

Most countries would be ecstatic to get under 3%. Almost all industrialised countries are over that. If Trump was in the Oval Office right now you'd be shouting it from the rooftops. Bad luck for you that Harris is doing so well, with Walz giving her a boost in the polls (she's now leading), with another boost to come with their convention. She'll be ahead in all the battleground states after that. And add to that an inflation figure that is the envy of everyone else.

You must be so disappointed that it keeps dropping...

My wise crack about liberal news media was in retaliation to your wise crack about gateway pundit. I know that inflation is not limited to the US and has hit every country on the planet. Finally getting inflation under 3% is a step in the right direction yet it had nowhere else to go but down after reaching a 40 year high of 9.1% under Biden. The damage is already done! I was shouting 1.4% inflation from the rooftops when Trump was in office. I've been singing the blues over high inflation after Biden became president. On what planet is Harris doing so well? What disappoints me the most is watching the country that I love and served in the military to help protect is gradually being destroyed by the radical left movement!

Oh that's right, drill baby, drill....nm that new drilling will have zero impact on inflation
Zero impact? Well, only iff all that drilling produces only dry wells.
I think of big corporations who continue to fleece the american consumer and investment firms who are making home ownership and affordable rent a thing of the past.
Fleece? As in "swindle"? Did those big corps deceive you into buying their products? Or did you decide to buy, let's say, that car, dishwasher, dryer, lawn mower, etc. all on your own?

Investment firms working against their own interests? That's novel. You do know that investment firms make less money if people cannot borrow to purchase goods and services?

Yet, we see big corporations continuing to keep prices high.
No. Only monopolies can demand prices as they control their supply curve. But their demand curve remains downward sloping (cp) -- higher prices result in less quantity demanded.

Most competitive markets, including those markets dominated by those big (bad?) corporations, render all suppliers to be price-takers, not price-makers.

On Planet Poll. Check them out now so next week's figures won't be so much of a shock to you.
I don't put a lot of stock in polls.and after all the disturbing events I have witnessed in America beginning in 2020 up to the present day, nothing really shocks me anymore in Twilight Zone USA.

If your kid has the flu, do you send her to school?
Poor analogy to Covid lockdown. "If your kid does not have the flu, do you send her to school?"
No way am I getting further involved in some obscure argument that the current Dow or inflation or the unemployment rate is somehow the fault of Biden ...
Obscure argument? Only to those who will not connect the obvious dots. Poor fiscal policy (Biden-Harris) leads to poor monetary policy (Treasury borrows and the Fed increases the money supply to fund the Biden-Harris' poor fiscal policy) and leads to inflation.

And neither Trump nor Biden is to blame for the grocery price hike.
