I honestly don't think that the media realizes how unhinged it has become. They know that trust is at lows, yet they continue with insane histrionics like this. Certainly the diverse crowd at the rally would not have been welcome at the Nazi rally in the 1930s, nor would there have been Israeli flags flying in 1930. So why is it seemingly irrelevant to you that MSNBC made such an egregious and dishonest comparison?

2 reasons. 1) nobody is voting for MSNBC to be President of the United States and 2) I think the comparison is quite apt. Nothing any of you have said here has shown this to be an unfair comparison. Both were hate filled rallies for parties and leaders I’d rather not risk putting into power.

What I thought was the craziest was when they were talking about a Jew being beaten at the 1930's rally and it seemed like they were talking about Trump's rally. You really couldn't tell the way they framed it.

The whole coverage really did confuse the listener as to what occurred in the distant past once and what happened at Trump's rally.

I attended the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, and let me tell you, what I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears was nothing like what you’ve read in the mainstream media. Not even close.

Contrary to reports painting the event as a gathering of racism, rage, and misogyny, I observed a crowd brimming with joy and camaraderie. Ears ringing from all the chants of "USA! USA! USA!," I left the venue reflecting on Trump’s latest slogan: "Make America Dream Again." And, I have to admit, for the first time in a long time, it felt like better days might still be possible. Others there that night, however, walked away with much darker and foreboding interpretations of the very same event.

It’s as if there were two rallies for Trump on Sunday night: one for those who love him and one for those who hate him. Thanks to modern psychology, we now know that’s exactly what happened.

Well, let's take a historical look at it:

The Madison Square Garden Smear​

To listen to Democrats, you’d think nothing has ever happened with any political salience at Madison Square Garden except for a big Nazi rally in 1939, providing yet more evidence that Trump is a protofascist since he, too, had a rally there tonight.

That skips over FDR’s consequential speech in the arena in 1936 and JFK’s birthday party in 1962, as well as the Democratic conventions in 1976, 1980, and 1992, and George W. Bush’s highly effective convention in 2004.

That the Garden is an inherently fascistic venue is among the dumbest things we’ve heard in this campaign. Amazingly enough, Hillary Clinton has repeated this line, apparently assuming that it will never be brought to the attention of MSNBC viewers that multiple Democratic conventions have been held there, including that of her husband in 1992.

I suspect people are referring to the Tony Hinchcliffe stand-up routine.

Given that they know left-leaning media outlets are on-call for "pounce mode" in late October, that was probably a poor choice on their part to book him.

For those who are familiar with his content, they know that offensive "roast battle comedy" is the theme of his show "Kill Tony", and that no side, race, religion, faction, orientation, etc... is spared. They ran a series of episode with two comedians parodying both Trump and Biden, and have cracked jokes about topics ranging from the transgender debate, to the gun-obsession of certain members of the right.

But given that "roast" comedy is a niche market and not everyone's cup of tea, Tony wasn't the right choice for a political rally.


Much like, despite guys like Jeff Ross and Anthony Jeselnik being openly progressive, the material they use in the "roast" environment probably isn't a great fit for a Kamala political rally in the 11th hour.
