In some churches it is acceptable, in more traditional churches, especially where there is a structured liturgy, it's not particularly appropriate.
I grew up Pentecostal, and while we didn't go as crazy as some other churches I've seen or heard of, dancing, shouting (while never that disruptive really) was never too big of an issue. As such, I don't believe it is de facto problematic.
But, as noted before, it wouldn't be appropriate in a more structured, liturgical church simply because of the nature of the service. And that said, I have actually found myself much more appreciative of the structure and quiet contemplative side of traditional, historic Christian liturgy--nothing gets left out, and we get to do everything together, corporately, as the People of God. That is, after all, what "liturgy" means, it means "the activity of the people".
I think the more rambunctious stuff would probably be generally more suited for, if one so desires, individual, private worship in one's home rather than as part of corporate worship. But perhaps that is just me.
