  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

illegal no, but something that I and many others that I know would support also a HARD no.

And that is what America is about -- she has her opinion, I have mine, you have yours...

He'd told a group of left-wing Democratic Congresswomen to "go back" to "the totally broken and crime infested places they came from.

If they can't fix their hometowns....how can they run the USA?
Unlike the Federal government, they aren’t breaking it. The leader of the federal government is playing with it like a puppy with a chew toy.

Men and women died for that flag...

They died for a piece of cloth? C'mon, are you even going to try to explain what my "freedoms" are?

Yes and no they died for the freedom for which that flag stands a flag is a piece of cloth when you just look at it. It respents whatever people decide, but a flag itself is literally a piece of cloth.
The flag is a piece of cloth, but it is a symbol of something else. And symbols are exceedingly important and incredibly relevant. Symbols are all over and they are the carriers of great meaning. They always stand for more than what they are themselves.

Yes, we all know that, but I'm trying to get -57 to explain what it's a symbol of, and what "freedoms" that it represents have been abused.

So far, zilch. Perhaps you can convince him to articulate it?

I am TRUMP all the way, but we all know he didn't say it that way. Just a simple reading of his words show that he meant for them to go back to foreign countries. (He does often say some stupid things.) Thank God he has done what I elected him for... nearly doubling my stash of money in three years.

That's got to be the first time I've ever heard anyone thank God for thirty pieces of silver... or is it sixty now?

The problem with many conservatives that argue someone else hates the country is the myopic view that your view is the only correct view. The ideal of the country is that we all have our views and we can lobby others around a cause to create change in the country through democratic means. Therefore, whether you have a great socialist idea that gets popular support, it is just as a valid as a great public-private partnership that provides a service to the public. The notion that you do not love the country because your idea is less capitalistic is ridiculously infantile.

However, even if you disagree with someone's political views, resorting to racism, as we see with the current president, is wrong and we should call out that racism when we see it. And the people fighting for their beliefs in this country are more American than you are, un-American is telling people to leave; and in this case, the demand for people to leave is not only un-American, it is plainly racist.

I usually respect your posts. But, to imply I am Judas is a rather disgusting thing to come out of your mouth.

I think it is rather disgusting to see people take blatant racism and claim it is not racism or say, "He didn't really mean that." He said they came from other countries and told them to go back to the where they came from... it's textbook racism, not a slip of the tongue. "Is our children learning," is a slip of the tongue. Saying you visited 57 states is a slip of the tongue. Saying people of color were originally born in other countries and arguing they need to go back to those countries is blatant racism.

More disgusting than Matthew 6:24 or Matthew 16:26?

My apologies if you found my rebuke disgusting, but please take a moment to go back and read what you wrote: You support Donald all the way... because you got paid.

Let's just agree to disagree about what is or isn't "disgusting."

I think it's pretty clear how to address that, then: to be consistent, President Trump should go back to where he came from.
Dear Mr. President:

Don’t let the door hit you in the backside on your way out.

Do I really need to explain to you what the American flag represents?
The freedom to choose whether to stand, salute or place ones hand over ones heart in its presence, right?

Was Trump talking about a congress women who was rescued from a country at war, who was placed in a camp...then came to America ....and is now bad mouthing the country that saved her and gave her so much?
Why don’t you tell us exact what you think Trump meant, for each of the four people he directed the statement at?

Of course not....but it appears the right has been outlawed by the left.

Course of action by the left....call them raciest.

Sheeze, you now have the left even calling others on the left raciest.
Lol, if we outlawed the right wing why are Trump and Mitch McConnell still in power?

No, you in a hateful way are tying in skin color.

Would you prefer me to start using the phrase "ethnic bigotry" instead of racism? Would that make you feel better?

She didn't "drive away jobs". But to that point, one of the big concerns people had about Amazon moving in was its impact on affordable housing. Turns out they were right to be worried:

It's amazing just how far the socialist will go.

... to do what? To be correct? To look out for the interests of the not-wealthy people who already live in an area that a new employer seeks to "improve"?

I would add that your use of the word/slur "socialist" is not just silly and lazy, but in this specific case, almost cartoonishly ignorant and misguided. Amazon - one of the most valuable companies on the planet - was looking for massive government handouts in order to bring a new office to these cities. If anything, those opposing the subsidies were anti-socialist.

Corporate socialism is good and proper and exactly what we need to do.

Socialism that would improve the lives of citizens is bad and evil and DESTROYING THE COUNTRY!1!!!!11
