to be honest, sometimes i think th eonly thing that keeps me going to any church events is food. love food.

Nicky Gumbel is sound, man.
my sister keeps sending me wacky videos about heaven and hell experiences. i cant stand them..... horrible videos implying that God is some angry sadist who sends christians to hell for small mistakes like women wearing wigs etc. But THIS video is sound. NG is good!

Nicky runs one of the most proactive churches in the UK and founded the well known Alpha courses.
He is overseeing a massive church planting programme in the Anglican tradition that crosses gender, and racial lines - very innovative.

i am trying to. i just need to try harder and do better, i guess. thiough it seems pretty beyond my reach now. am not capable of much self effort at all. the blessings o facing serious ill health and disability means i supose that i have to depend on the Lord's grace and mercy more than ever

It never was about our effort, He did it for us on the Cross.
Just accept the free gift of the life He offers.
He is for you, and wants you to enjoy His love and blessings.
The enemy sows all sorts of doubt and confusion in minds, that is why we regularly read the Word, stay in good fellowship, be thankful, trust Him.
I think generally folks expect some perfect life now when He leads us into trials to ultimately make us strong and useful in helping others. This takes years not months but the fruit of perseverance is deep and sweet.
Please be encouraged - some of us have been 'through it' and testify to His love and faithfulness.

We are all in this together !!
It's not about arguing the finer points of truth, even a little child can come to Him.
My 5 children all found His love for themselves at a young age.
He wont be looking down with a big magnifying glass looking into our brains to see if we have exactly the right theology.
He will be looking for when we allowed Him within us to love others.
