Just for final clarification yes, we evolved from monkeys.

@sfs Any thoughts on this post?

That perhaps, quoting someone who believes the world is being invaded by shape-shifting lizards is not the best source of information?---We can't all keep up with the loonies--too many of them.

I agree with you, but I was hoping sfs might comment on the claims about chromosome 2 fusion.

Do you even know who David Icke is?
Are you trying to kill the messenger instead of the message. Can't change the information, no matter whom it comes from, can you?

Don't worry about sfs, he cannot even answer a simple question of does a fruit fly have four pairs of chromosomes. I do not believe he's a good one to get into the conversation.

Oh dear.....

You do realise, don't you, that the article you referenced there actually supports the concept of a common ancestor for humans and chimpanzees....?!!

I think that someone's research is simply limited to reading headlines....!

Yes, we each have a common ancestor. Monkey's have a common ancestor which was a monkey, apes have a common ancestor which was an ape, and human's have a common ancestor, his name was Adam. Scientist cannot see the forest for the tree. Have a blessed day, brother.

So, why did you choose to promote an article which directly contradicts what you have just said...??

Did you bother to read it, or are you so desperate to make your point that you will latch onto any group of words that seem to suit your purpose?

And yet you are completely incapable of showing that Adam existed while scientists can in fact shown that humans and other apes share a common ancestor, no matter how much you choose ignore it.

The human genome is the complete set of nucleic acid sequence for humans (Homo sapiens), encoded as DNA within the 23 chromosome pairs in cell nuclei and in a small DNA molecule found within individual mitochondria. Human genomes include both protein-coding DNA genes and noncoding DNA.Haploid human genomes, which are contained in germ cells (the egg and sperm gamete cells created in the meiosis phase of sexual reproductionbefore fertilization creates a zygote) consist of three billion DNA base pairs, while diploid genomes (found in somatic cells) have twice the DNA content. While there are significant differences among the genomes of human individuals (on the order of 0.1%),[1] these are considerably smaller than the differences between humans and their closest living relatives, the chimpanzees (approximately 4%[2]) and bonobos. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_genome
Why is it that Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes and monkeys have 24 pair of chromosomes? We are not related as science will have you to believe.

Let these last few statements of the 'Commander' be a salient lesson to the onlooker. Here we see the dishonesty, ignorance, or just plain incompetence of the creationist argument writ large!

He has been caught out using the age-old creationist ploy of simply 'mining' headlines in order to fabricate a case, rather than doing the hard research work that a genuine scholar would employ...!

FROM YOUR OWN SOURCE.......!!

"A major difference between the two genomes is human chromosome 2, which is equivalent to a fusion product of chimpanzee chromosomes 12 and 13.[75] (later renamed to chromosomes 2A and 2B, respectively)."

Quite incredible isn't it? I just got through describing the scurrilous practice of selectively quoting sources.....and he immediately provides us with an example......!!

Seems to me you can't accept truth. That humans came from Adam, monkey's came from monkey's and apes came from apes?

You really never actually read or watched either of what you copied and pasted did you? Both of these sources, as Steve2B8 and the video, supports NEITHER of your positions.

Again :And yet you are completely incapable of showing that Adam existed while scientists can in fact shown that humans and other apes share a common ancestor, no matter how much you choose ignore it.
