There are many times in the Bible where God cut straight to the point. This is one such example:

Luke 10:25-37

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

You have discovered what few will ever recognize.

When Christ as asked, "What is the most important commandment?" He answered without hesitation:
"Love God with all your heart, mind and soul". And then He continued: "And the second: Love your neighbor as yourself". And then He added this: "All the law and the prophets hang on THESE TWO".

In essence, Christ summed up the entire history of the relationship of God with man. What His WISH for that relationship is: LOVE.

Every prophet ever sent by God, every LAW ever introduced by God, was for ONE purpose: to teach us to love Him and each other.

If one abides in love, there is no occasion for sin.

Sounds simple doesn't it?

The problem is that the flesh wants to love itself more than anhything else. And Satan is there constantly toying with the flesh. Always there influencing us to cater to our own personal LUSTS.

You are correct. The entire Bible, the whole purpose of 'creation' itself is totally and completely about LOVE.

And for those that would question: What is love? Well, Christ offered us the PERFECT example of love: He was willing to sacrifice His life for ours. Even when we were His enemy. And expected NOTHING in return. He did it simply out of LOVE.

Love is the willingness to share with others without expecting ANYTHING in return. It is DOING what we are able simply because we KNOW it's it the RIGHT thing to do. It is the sacrifice of the flesh for the sake of what is GOOD.

But we are forced to LEARN what 'good' is before being able to practice it. And 'good' basically boils down to "truth".

And think about this: If each person in a group did what they were able to help those in need. No one would ever be NEEDY without that need being fulfilled.

I'm not talking about: "I need a nice new car". I'm talking about necessities. Both physical and spiritual.

If we were focused on fulfilling the needs of others, there would be no time or even desire for pleasing ONESELF. We would find our 'pleasure' in simply fulfilling the needs of 'others'. And all of our needs would be met by others. Sounds like Utopia doesn't it? A group of people living in harmony. No one 'left out' or 'in need' for more than a moment.

Yet this world would teach the flesh to build what fulfills itself. To love 'money' and 'other things' instead of God or each other. To worship that which fulfills SELF. To worship SELF above all else.

Your God is where your heart is. The Father of our Savior is LOVE. The God of this world is Satan.

Blessings,

MEC

If you know that the god of this world, is under the the authority of Christ, then he will promise you that if you plea the blood every time your under attack, that it acts like a hedge of protection, possibly might help a great deal to know what that blood means, both from the Old and New Testaments...

If you can just think and know you are covered in the blood and what that means, and can keep it in mind from time to time knowing what it means, I believe it would help a great deal with the enemy, to know that is your protection...

Thanks for your reply though, I got a lot out of it, thanks,

Peace,

God Bless!

It sets up a boundary or defense against things in the Spirit realm...

And that your joy is your strength... Don't lose your joy, if you've lost it find it, hopefully in things that are good and wholesome...

God Bless!

Oh, Love is your power, joy is your strength, the blood is your protection...?

Anyone think of more...?

God Bless!

Just "be" "Love"... What more do we need to know than this...? It is the entire point of the scriptures, all the rest is just blah blah, this or that...

Your missing the point, which is just simply "Love", it does not get any simpler than that...

God is Love and Love is God, Love is also truth, the only truth that matters...

Becoming Love, embodying it, personifying it, being and becoming it, is becoming like God...

Love is the goal, Love is the purpose, Love is, or should be, our identity or who we are in Christ...

I posted this to someone when asked how Christians should be or are supposed to be living...

As far as how Christians are supposed to be, or be living... I am onto this thing of being "Love"... Personifying it, embodying it, making it a major part, and hopefully in time, "all" of who I am... Simply "being" "Love"...

And when I lose sight of this, I close my eyes, think on it and him and refocus to get back to center, which for me is love... God is Love after all, so shouldn't we, especially Christians "be" also...?

Godly love though, not the way the world defines or thinks of love, but what God and scripture does...

Focusing on peace, also helps...

Many things are contained in love, Godly Love that is...

I made a list here on good words to focus on that most of which, are contained in it (love)...

Morality, good and bad, right and wrong, Ethics, Virtues...

Also about being Love, I believe it is the objective and mandate and goal and point of the gospel and scriptures, as stated here:

1Timothy 1:5-7, Romans 1:19-23... Discussion...? Objective of this mandate (gospel)...

Peace,

God Bless!
Seems Dt 8:3; and Mt 4:4, Old and New Testaments, Jesus speaking in the latter, quoting the former, disagrees with you. Of course that is not surprising seeing you want to do away with both Old and New testaments and "Just be love."

Do you even know what it means to "Be Love (Godly Love) (that is where we need the Old and New testaments which are very important to truly understand Godly Love) Anyhow, Do you even know what it means to be Love, especially Godly Love...?

It can be pondered for an eternity yet perhaps never fully understood for an eternity to me, not that you do not get it, but that you get pieces of it, and it's so very multifacited, it can be pondered for and eternity to me, it means so many things,( and some things it is not, that the world may say is, also) anyways...
