CHICAGO (CBS) — The two brothers involved in the Jussie Smollett attack told police that Smollett was behind creating a racist letter that was sent to the actor on the set of his show, “Empire,” according to two sources with first-hand knowledge of the investigation.

And when that letter did not get a “bigger reaction,” Smollett orchestrated the attack a week later with the two men–Ola and Abel Osundairo, sources said. Also Tuesday, sources said the two brothers were seen on a ride share video camera before being dropped off near the location of the attack.

The note was crafted with letters apparently cut out from magazines to form words. The pieced-together message contained racial and homophobic threats directed at Smollett. A magazine is one of the pieces of evidence retrieved from the brother’s home last week during a search conducted by CPD. Investigators also recovered a book of stamps.

It's weird how people who hate Trump will always find some way of blaming him for everything. Here we have this Jussie Smollett guy lying his rear end off, using the fact that he's black and homosexual to get sympathy from the public by lying that he's the victim of some kind of "hate crime" supposedly committed by a couple of people who identified themselves as Trump supporters, and here you are trying to blame Trump for it, even though Smollett is being exposed as a liar.

Do us all a favor and examine your own thinking before criticizing conservatives for saying anything against Obama, especially if you're going to bring his skin color into it as well to try justifying Smollett's actions because he is also black.

There was a hate crime, but Smollett is the perpetrator, not the victim. The hater tried to frame himself as a victim, but it didn't work this time.

Okay, I am actually getting upset. I really wanted to believe this Jussie Smollett and I have posts on this forum condemning the "attackers".

Why? Why immediately jump to the conclusion that the story of two guys who just happened to be on the street at 2 AM on a freezing morning in Chicago just happened to run into Smollett and just happened to know who he was and just happened to be wearing MAGA hats and just happened to decide to beat him up?

Why believe that as a first response?

"Empire" actor Jussie Smollett was charged Wednesday with a felony for allegedly filing a false police report claiming he was the victim of a hate-crime attack in Chicago, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney office.

Smollett is charged with felony disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false report with the Chicago Police Department on Jan. 29 in which he claimed he was assaulted by two masked men who hurled racist and homophobic slurs.

The actor, 36, who is black and gay, also said his attackers poured what he believed was bleach over him and put a noose around his neck.

Smollett is expected in court for a bond hearing at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

This is called a psychological operation (psyop). It isn't conspiracy theory; it is declassified in several Western nations as a way to target entire groups of people for the purposes of shaping their thinking.

Psyop like these are good for distracting from legislation passed, or impending "doom". As long as there are humans, there will be a psychological exploitation of them.

Agreed. It seems as though the only people who were targeted in this "hate crime" were white American Trump supporters. I really don't know what we would call it because apparently some people truly believe that racism against white people doesn't exist in America.

If the allegations are true, and it looks like they are, this itself is a hate crime, against our society. It bred more racial animosity and distrust into a society that cannot afford it. And it is not victimless. The bitterness will come out one way and/or the other.

Well, people of all races are capable of hating. We all are equal, after all.

But only the ones who can be fooled will be fooled. And if they aren't fooled this way, they will find ways to be fooled that.

If we keep fooling ourselves about the weather report, this can mean we still can fool ourselves . . . into fooling ourselves.

It seems that a politician can be doing things, in order to keep attention away from other candidates. It might not really matter if the person makes correct statements, as long as the person gets the attention so voters do not know much about other runners.

And I think an overall strategy and conspiracy of this evil world is to keep our attention away from God and submitting to how God our Father corrects us and rules us in His peace > Colossians 3:15, Ephesians 4:2.

Truth be told, it's meaningless. If I can be honest. This stuff is far below my radar on a daily basis. I'm saturated with God and His purpose. It's not that I don't care. But I know my place and I operate within that space. And I recognize the distraction. It's meant to remove your focus from what's important to what entertains or tickles your ears.

But your personal example, along with caring prayer with hope for any person > God uses our example. This can accomplish more, in other people's hearts and lives, than all secular presidents have done in all past history.

Really deeply helping one person can do more.

That's soul work and the burden comes from God. He gives you a regard for them and a desire to make a difference. And that anointing enables you to engage and impact them to a greater degree than someone who doesn't have the same equipping.

But negativity isn't the right approach. You need to see their divine makeup first. That's where it starts.

My example is the result of love and surrender. I'm not trying to accomplish my thing. I'm driven to do His will. Knowing that I'll impact others as result of my obedience and commitment is deeply satisfying. Getting on His page is paramount.
