I think the biggest thing for me was Lock telling Richard Alpert to go find Lock on the day he was born- and how Lock said he was their leader. Alpert responded by saying their leader was chosen from a young age... remember last season (Cabin Fever) we see Alpert visit Lock in the hospital when he was born- and then back again when Lock was a boy asking him to choose an object that was his?

So I wonder if present day Charles Widmore remembers Lock? I mean, they did meet on the island...

I'm trying to find a picture but apparently the name on Charles Widmore's unifore is incorrect.

Theories:

Widmore says that Faraday's mother is in L.A. and we know that Ms. Hawking is in L.A. It seems that Ms. Hawking could possibly be Faraday's mother.

I also read that one of the items that Richard put down for Locke to pick was the compass... Locke didn't pick the compass.

I guess it's almost confirmed that the Jewelry Store lady who sold Desmond the ring might be Faraday's mom. We last saw her talking to Ben in what I'd assume was L.A. And she looked like she was trying to maintain a level of privacy in that place she was staying at.

If she's in the "time travel" business like her son is, then that'll explain why she was able to give Desmond that prophecy.

I think I agree with the theory that Hawkings and Widmore are Daniel's parents. It adds that connection as so many Losties have.

I feel like I am missing (or have missed) so much, like Team Darlton stood above this episode with fists full of clues, threw them up in the air, and they came sprinkling down all over the episode, and I am somehow walking right past them without ever knowing they were there.

I need to watch it again. Maybe the cold medicine is getting to me.

Most importantly...I think we've found out why the "6" need to go back. I think each of them is the constant of someone still on the island. And that would be why those left behind would die, if they didn't come back. If that's the case, does that mean Desmond actually has to come back for the sake of Daniel?

Moving on. I'm assuming Desmond somehow goes to LA. Well, isn't that convenient. Everyone is there now, including the man (Ben) who has threatened the life of Pen. How is she going to be protected, or is she? Will she die and Des also go back to the island to exact revenge on Ben? The list of those who want to kill Ben is potentially growing longer every week. So far, we've got Widmore, Sun...and I hope I'm wrong...Desmond could be joining them.

My husband is thinking that Pen is not really Widmore's daughter, just as Alex was not really Ben's daughter. He thinks Ben is the reason that Widmore ultimately ended up off the island. And he said....Widmore IS AN OTHER!

I don't think Ben wants to bring everyone back to save the people left. I don't think he cares at all about the survivors. He must have his own personal motives, separate from Daniel's plans with Des. I didn't think about the fact that Ben is in L.A. and Penny is going there!

Why wouldn't Penny be his daughter?

Richard has always been on the island.

He does leave occasionally. My question is, what is Richard?

When I first watched, I thought Theresa (h or no h?) and Charlotte looked alike. After re-watching, though, I don't think so.

T(h)eresa's sister, Abigail, looks a lot like the woman who was working the Oceanic desk last week, but I can't get confirmation of that anywhere.

The names are so similar, and if the theory about her being Daniel's mother is right, it would explain why she looked familiar to him in 1954.

The Others/Hostiles/Whoever they were in 1954 killed the soldiers there as part of the bomb test so I'm guessing they took their uniforms (and guns as well - the only ones we've seen have been M-1 rifles and the M-1 carbine Ethan {in the future} and soldier girl had).

I think that's right. The uniform part I mean, I couldn't tell you about the gun part.

Or perhaps, Widmore emigrated to Scotland after leaving the island, but is American by birth?
