Father in Heaven, Thank God for all that is good, for all things good are from God. God is good and He is mighty, creating life and all things from nothing, yea, we are created but from a pile of dust, life breathed into us from our Creator. Your power is awesome, Your way is perfect, Your judgement is righteous and true. Your creation is immense and vast and the truth of Your word contained therein the scriptures hath given me The Fear of the LORD every morning, day, noon, evening, and night. LORD, I praise thee from the depths of my soul. Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done.

A daily prayer that we would be "humble, contrite in spirit, and tremble at God's Word." (Isaiah 66:2)

Father in Heaven, You have blessed us with life, with love and joy, and with hope in the midst of despair. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear; and lead us that we might recognize and heed the LORD's calling. O Sovereign God, we are reminded that your blessings do not necessarily follow the logic of the world—where men think the rich are blessed. Our man-made society is divided in ways to numerous to count; and by so many labels that man alone has created, yea, even denominational division and derision run rampant. Remind us, O Lord, that we are created in your image. Help us to be the salt of the earth. Help us to be the light of the world. While worldly men covet power, Jesus blesses the meek and the marginalized. Instruct us, O God, in the ways of humility. Amen.

"Blessed Are" By Wayne Watson

Blessed Are

Blessed are the poor in spirit;
God has faithfully revealed
That the riches of the kingdom
With their souls in Christ are sealed.

Blessed are the grieved, the weeping,
Those whose tears for others cry,
Selfless, giving, bearing sorrow
Will be dancing by and by.

Those who hunger and are thirsty,
Craving righteousness and life,
Won't be filled by any other,
Satisfied by none by Christ.

Blessed are the meek, the gentle,
No demands, no claims to rights,
In their patience, strong and mighty
Confidence and faith in Christ.

And to those of tender mercy,
From them falls as gentle rain
Grace and Kindness, sweet compassion,
Mercy given and mercy gained.

Blessed are the true peacemakers
With contentment for the fold.
They cling to promises of heaven,
Working in the field of souls.

"Blessed are the poor in the spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3)
