You have got to love a religious group who has such a strangely relativistic morality! Anyone who thinks theft, for any reason, is allowable when it suits their purposes, and who thinks that hiding one's true motives in a debate, should not be trusted in a society of rules.

I don't agree there was a lack of interest. I think the claim of success is not overrated when looking at box office sales. Whichever way you look at it, it did very well for something purporting to be a documentary.

$10,000 isn't a bad little bribe to take the kids to see the movie. So, whereas the attendance wasn't at all bad for a documentry, it isn't a truely honest attendance, at least as a valid comparison to other films. When is the last time you've been bribe to go see a movie?

In there, also are, say, 1000 nominal bible believers, who also are evos. To me, they are all opposing what I believe God wants kids to learn.

The wickedness of man, whether professing to do it in God's name or not, is not going away. Not for a while. Religions that divert man to animalistic, selfish, demonic dog eat dog, bestial, no holds barred, open the floodgates of wickedness are not the answer.

Well, honesty has never been a goal of the movie, right?

Look, I know that Expelled has been heavily promoted, that they tried to bribe schools to go there and that it probably has lost financially. However, the success of an enterprise is the achievement of its goal, and I for one do not think the goal of the movie was to be a nation-wide success or a financial success. I think the main goal was to rally the religious base and the bonus was to have some new promotional material to use to get ID in the classroom. Rallying the base has worked and Expelled has been used to try and influence policy makers. Luckily the latter has failed so far.
