You should take him MtBob, he might be a good farm hand and gather eggs and all? lol

Not a bad idea. But we will not be buying him a car at his age he can be high class up here I'll get him a saddle for one of the goats.

There's a 400-pound hillbilly girl down the road that might like him. But if he does not act right she will bite him hard with her one remaining tooth. Don't laugh it is one big tooth.

I don't know when he sees that one big tooth and that gigantic tongue he might run like the Prodigal Son.

The goats usually only eat half.

We have a half of a bicycle seat for sale if you know anybody interested?

Chickens coming home to roost. If the parents were responsible adults they might have raised their son to be a responsible adult.
Life would be so much simpler if every parent was versed in Dr. Dobson (and his child-rearing strategies worked for every child...).

Chickens coming home to roost. If the parents were responsible adults they might have raised their son to be a responsible adult. I know I did not need to go sending messages and crying to the government to get any of my children to leave. Did they never talk to their son face to face when there was an issue between them? Reminds me of the woman that called 911 when her children wouldn't listen to her and then made a big stink when the 911 operator reasonably mocked her for doing so. She had no problem bullying the 911 operator for disrespecting her disrespect worthy behavior but could not find a way to demand compliance from her children.

They gave him 5 notices and countless face time before they made their decision, including offering gigs to earn income, as well as giving him $1100 and a note with advice. Given that by law, the parent have the right to kick out their kid over the age of 18, and that they have supported him 12 years beyond that, and gave him basically a go-away gift, the judge found it a reasonable decision to give him 14 days notice.

Its in the CNN article here:Parents sue son, 30, for refusing to move out - CNN Video

The 30 year old wanted to be treated like a tenant with 30 days, despite not paying any sort of rent. I'm on the judge side with this one.

Sometimes its beyond parents control on how kids treat their responsibilities.

On second thought I guess we could use that big overgrown lazy kid here at our house.

Somebody get word to him to come live up top the mountain.

I was just outside and our big old dog told me she was very cold. She has a nice large dog house that would be very comfortable for two.

I will supply all of the dog bones that the two of them can eat. And for special treats occasionally I go to the 99 cent store and get packages of hot dogs.

I was just wondering where in my bible is the prodigal son that refuses to leave?
So to answer this with scripture I present
John 2:15 --So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts,

I'm going to get a picture of that young man and take it outside and show her see if she approves and if she's willing to share?

I think you're right that long warm looking hair is going to be a good selling point.

Just came back in from showing her the picture. She said he looks great and she will keep him at least until he goes bald.

My kids will always have a home with us as long as
  1. they are single,
  2. they honor our house rules,
  3. they contribute, and
  4. we can afford it.
Only one has found these terms acceptable, and he has long-term goals otherwise.

I consider this to be the Old Testament model, though not particularly a mandate.

Lol I’m that kid

Actually, we don't even have a problem with our married children living on our estate, and we're even planning for it, planning for a multi-generational family home site.

I do not see a problem with this, I see buying some land and having family close as a good thing, But I do believe each family needs their own residence. Wells and all can be shared, But home is one's private place. IMO Another good thing is that family is always near if you need one another quickly :]

If I had space, I would love this. I had to agree with the first post because the best I have is a very small child's bedroom. It really wouldn't make for a happily married couple, and definitely not once children come.

But with enough space and privacy, I would love this. If I ever leave my home, maybe my daughter will add one of those little mother-residences. All I'd need is a room or two.
