I don't make a living deceiving Christians, so I don't have the time or resources to scour every teaching she has ever done. Since I find her teaching edifying, even though I don't fully agree with every single word of it, I listen to some of what she is currently teaching and find the vast majority of it to be very scriptural. I can't say the same about your gossip sites, since I stopped listening to their half-truths and full-on lies years ago.
One weekend I spent around five hours viewing her ministry on Youtube. She preaches from a motivational stance for Christians to have a stronger faith and trust in God for every day life. She is not an evangelist. That is not her calling. She is more in line with the ministry of helps. After listening to her teaching with an open mind, I found nothing that is contrary to Scripture.
It is quite clear that she works under the oversight of a ministry team that is made up of several godly men. Someone once advised her to have her husband preacher so she can submit to him. He tried it and after a short while knew that preaching and teaching was not his calling, so he gave the authority for his wife to continue her ministry, and so she submitted to him in that and continued her ministry as before.
She is not a Derek Prince,
Let us feel sorry for her. Not only does she own several homes but she also must spend time staying in swanky hotel rooms.
I think I have answered this issue fairly.
Just reminding you that this is the Spirit-filled/Charismatic forum and that the majority of Charismatics here support Joyce Meyer's ministry and have no problem at all with her remuneration. In fact, what people earn for what they do is no one's business but their own and whom she gives permission for access to it. At least that is what the NZ Privacy Act states. I don't know what Privacy legislation you have in your area, but in New Zealand, bandying people's private income around the public area without permission could land a person in court in front of a judge!
So, I would say that the debate concerning Joyce Meyer's income and assets is over. It is her private business and it should stay that way.
