  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Prince says forgiveness brings reverence not licentiousness. I have found that to be true.

You should learn more about what is going on in the Body of Christ by those that think they can live worldly, carnal lives and still go to Heaven due to partial gospel teachers.

The date was started when Israel became a nation again May 15, 1948. "This generation shall not pass until all things written shall come to pass." Revelation shows us as well as Daniel the circumstances of the end of days. The age of grace nears it's end, and Israel will again be the attention as it has been growing now for 60+ years. Jesus said we will not know the day or the hour, but we can know by the times being unique it is about to happen. And God makes many prophets.

Most of the S/F section has learned those beliefs and they may be true. I have studied enough about cults to see this particular issue as a red flag. It is genuinely dangerous. You may be right, you may be wrong but when the Lord comes we who are in Him will know. Meanwhile unless your called for a specific reason, there is no good reason to act like you know for sure.

We are always to be watching and waiting... not sounding the alarm.

God bless, andrea

Study the bible, not cults. there IS good reason to act like I know for sure, because I know for sure! "Rejoice for your redemption draws near!" Scripture tells me to! It's an alarm to the world, and they need it. It is joy for us.

Heaven is a sure thing, no matter what I do or how I live I have been accepted by the beloved, "whosoever confesses". I cannot gain or lose by works, but I gain by belief.

The Word of God, specifically the New Testament does not teach once saved always saved because mankind does have a free will which means WHATSOEVER a man sows, that shall he also reap meaning if a man sows to the flesh he shall of the flesh reap corruption. And, Romans 8 clearly states that if we (this was written to Christians!) walk after the flesh we shall die, but if we thru the Spirit mortify (put to death and in dying to self) the deeds of the body we shall live.

So, if you backslide and turn away from walking with God... brutha man, you be on the highway to hell according to the New Testament.

Don't confuse God's desire that all be saved and His part being open to those that call upon Him with... getting saved, but ignoring the Lord and not living for Him as in drawing close with words while the heart is far from Him cause that's back on that highway to hell again!

This is the problem with today's extreme grace church... they don't accept the entire Gospel of Jesus Christ! This is why Jesus said not all that call Him Lord will go to Heaven.

LOL...love your post...did somebody say there was kool aid? LOL!

Seriously...I'm not a huge fan of his...I must confess that I have not listened much to his teaching though...what I have heard sounded good, but there is just something about him that gives me the CREEPS...I don't know what it is either

I can't say off the top of my head either...but I am just not really comfortable with him...perhaps I just have not given him enough of a chance? I don't know but I get a check in my spirit when I hear him or read about what he has taught...nothing that I can prove either...I hope it is just me and NOT him...but that's just how I feel when I hear him or hear about him.

I'm an older christian, I have a knack for eating the meat and spitting out the bones. When I get a check I listen. It may be that there is something there that is just not good for me. I have a few preachers that twist me... ugh. But there is little good that comes out of bringing them up unless someone brings in their doctrine. I try to keep the feelings thing to myself but I listen to it, it has saved me many times.
The Lord gave us the hair on the back of our necks for a reason. I don't put my faith in any man. Too many start off well and fall. Man disappoints, Jesus never does.

That's what the partial gospel teachers teach as they never talk about man reaping what he sows... they can't, cause people would quit buying their books and sending in offerings!

They gotta teach what is popular so they can be famous and loved!

Well on that I would have to agree... it is joy. Just be careful, recall the Camping incident recently, there have been too many. Particularly awful bc I believe Camping meant well. As did his followers.

But yes, I do not fear His coming it is joyful to think of His return. I only fear the unscrupulous coming and taking the naive. Too sad when believers get pulled astray. It's very painful for them.

I don't watch any of these people often. I have found J.Prince very encouraging. He was scriptural and he didn't seem to be out to get $$. IDK. I'm not his judge. I like his show. Christian celebrities are always a bit of a problem and they can't always help being in the limelight. Its what they do. So every word they say, every misspoken word or deed is broadcast all over the world. Not an easy life, especially with Christians sitting in judgment day and night. .

Prince says, give your tithes to your local church and asks for your gifts or sells his CDs. Seems like an honest way of paying the bills.

I am not impressed when others bring up what they disagree with a televangelist about since, we have churches with learned scholars and great theologians who are still fighting over every doctrine after 2000 years. I don't expect individuals to be absolutely on point. I look for humility and repentance in them. I see that in Prince. I am often very edified by his teaching.

Salvation is not based on head knowledge, it is the heart the Lord changes... the mind on Christ will follow. I get a check in my spirit when I encounter people who are negative every time they post. Knowledge puffs up, love edifies.

Ted,

Great post. We must preach the Word of God whether it agrees with our circumstances or not. His Word is ALWAYS the truth:

I love what Kenneth E. Hagin once said about the integrity of God's Word:

"...Believe What the Bible Says - Not What Your Senses Tell You. If you are going to wait until you detect that every symptom has gone and your flesh corresponds with your faith and everything is fine before you are going to start believing God, then you're all out of order and out of line with the Word, and you'll never get very far in faith. You see, the trouble is that so many people are like doubting Thomas, one of Jesus' twelve disciples. Thomas said, "I'll not believe until I can see Him and put my finger in the print in His hands and thrust my hand into the wound in His side" (John 20:25).

Then when Jesus appeared to the disciples, and Thomas saw Jesus, Thomas said, ". . . My Lord and my God" (John 20:28). Did Jesus praise Thomas for his lack of faith? No, Jesus said, ". . . Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed" (John 20:29). In other words, Thomas didn't believe in Jesus' resurrection by faith as you and I believe in it. Thomas believed because he saw Jesus with his physical eyes; he relied totally on his senses. But we believe in Jesus' resurrection because the Word of God says Jesus
was raised from the dead. This is where many people miss it in the area of faith without really realizing it. They say, "I believe in divine healing because So-and-so got healed." But that is not Bible faith! I don't believe in healing because I saw someone get healed. I believe in healing because the Word of God says healing belongs to me (Isa. 53:4,5; Matt. 8:17; 1 Peter
2:24).

I don't believe in speaking in tongues just because some people speak in
tongues. No, I believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues because the Word of God teaches it. I would still believe in it even if I had never heard anyone else speak in tongues. I believe what the Bible says, not what I see and hear. My faith is not in what I can see and hear. My faith is based on what God says. You see, when we develop our faith to the place where we believe what the Word says regardless of circumstances and physical symptoms, then we are believing the right thing, and that's what brings results.

Thomas said, "I will not believe until I see." And Jesus said, "... Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed" (John 20:29). Those who believe what the Word of God says, apart from what they see or feel with their physical senses, are the ones who are blessed.

ROMANS 4:17-21
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Notice the difference between Abraham's faith and Thomas' faith. Thomas' faith was just simply a natural, human faith. He said, "I'm not going to believe unless I can see and feel." But the Word of God says that Abraham believed God's Word and he considered not his own body. Well, if Abraham didn't consider his own body, that means he didn't consider physical sight or physical feelings. What did he consider then? The Word of God. He considered the promise of God, "... being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform" (Rom. 4:2 1).

I remember quite a few years ago, I was struggling along some of the same lines that many people do today in the area of healing. Even after I was healed, I had some of the most alarming heart symptoms that seemed to return to me. In the nighttime I would have some terrible struggles. So I did just what Abraham did. I had been praying and standing on the promises of God, but I could not get off to sleep. Finally, I said to the Lord, "Lord, I must have some relief." God spoke to me, "Consider not thine own body." So I just relaxed and said, "Thank You," and took my mind off of my body and drifted back to sleep. Later that same night I woke up again and had some
of the same symptoms. I said, "Lord, I'm not considering my own body.

What am I going to consider then?" The Lord said, "Consider Him, who is the Author and Finisher of your faith and your High Priest" (Heb. 3:1; Heb. 12:2). God tells us in His Word exactly what not to consider, and then He tell us what to consider. Or we could say it this way: God tells us in His Word exactly what not to consider and then He tells us whom to consider - the Lord Jesus Christ - the Author and Finisher of our faith. Immediately I got my mind on Jesus, and I began to consider Him and what He had done for us. The Bible says, "... Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses" (Matt. 8:17). I began to consider that scripture and to focus my mind and attention on Jesus and the Word, and I stopped considering my body with its symptoms. Then I was able to drift off to sleep. When I woke up every symptom had gone..."

A very simple question.......................... What did Jesus teach? All the things we claim we are supposed to enlighten all those sinners about? Not in the Bible I read.

I do believe it was the Pharisees that dumped all that other stuff on people, that we claim we are to preach.

Yes, but it's the 'simplicity of the gospel' they are teaching and it takes volumes and volumes to do it... LOL.

I think that may account for the way people really don't seem to be converted to God all that often... because they are responding (usually out of fear) to all the superfluous things preached at them....... while the Gospel seldom really gets mentioned.

So... you do enjoy the kooL aid then. Right?
What are your thoughts on 1 John 1:9?

Mr Prince says this was not written to Christians and it is a sin for us to repent after we get born again.

Do you agree with this kooL aid?

All my smileys aside... I admit that I have a problem watching Prince's telecast... ONLY because he talks 90+/mph. I try to re-new my mind as He teaches God's Word... but he races so fast... my mind can't catch him.

However... His teaching on grace revolutionized my "grace walk" with the Lord for sure in abundance. Being formally Pilgrim Holiness (merged with Wesleyan), They did not know what grace was. At least... in the one I have attended since childhood.

Now that I unknowingly sorta advertised your book in which I do highly recommend it to everyone here that wants a better understanding of what Wof is all about. Uh-oh, I just thought of something. This might not be appropriate (I don't know) so don't tell the mods...

(couldn't resist)

I would highly suggest for you to purchase Princes' book (Destined To Reign). I will soon be starting my fourth reading. I have it so highlighted that I may have to purchase another copy. Please consider it...

Welcome back...

Harry...

I do believe it was the Pharisees that dumped all that other stuff on people, that we claim we are to preach.

Many extreme grace teachers claim that the teachings of Jesus were jmust to the Jews of that day and are not applicable to us today in modern times, cause they have a "new" revelation that regardless of how you live you will go to Heaven even if you walk in the flesh and do not actually have a relationship with God.

Some extreme grace teachers go as far to say that there is no further need for prayer or learning of the Lord from His Word since we are all saved now and everything is all puppie doggies and pop sickles!

In other words, the reason people have itching ears for extreme grace is because this teaching relieves them of any personal responsibility for their actions as though God never said He cannot be mocked, whatsoever we sow is what we reap spoken of in Galatians 6:7,8 and explained further in Romans 8 as well as Jesus Himself teaching about sowing and reaping in Mark 4:14-20 as He explains the 5 things that can choke the Word of God out of our lives making us unfruitful if we allow these things to enter in and choke the Word.

Jesus specifically said in John 15 that those "IN HIM" that bear not fruit are taken away, so God has this thing about bearing fruit which is the amount of our lives we have allowed Him in to. So, OSAS is actually as myth taught be ear ticklin preachers so they can be popular and enjoy the book sales and large amounts of donations coming in.
