They must be taking their meds because they have been laser focused on Trump for three years. Two and a half of which was All Russia, all the time. Then Mueller report shot holes in that and here it is all over again.

is it possible to go from ADD to OCD?

Lol do you really want to bring up ADD meds in reference to Trump considering the Know Your Meme about him & Adderall?

The Mueller Report is why so many of the Trump campaign staff who chanted "lock her up" in 2016 are now locked up or headed there.

Imagine if the Democrats were fact checked as robustly as the President.

They are, you can use polifact and other sites to check on the reliability of a lot of different public figures. Trump just lies a lot more than the others, or to be more charitable he is generally more clueless than the others so perhaps he isn’t always aware what he is saying isn’t true, so for that reason he tends to get more ‘what?’ coverage.

Imagine if factcheckers were objective and unbiased.
Seems kind of ironic given the all the posts in this very forum every time a Democratic candidate makes a minor mistake while ignoring ones from their preferred candidate.

Typical Biden follow-up: Oops, I misspoke, sorry about that.

Typical Trump follow-up: The media is wrong. History books, wrong. Evidence, faked. I know what's true better than anybody.
Add in : What about Clinton?, SOCIALISM!, AOC and the gang, Obama wasn't born here!

So there's this term we learned called the firehose of falsehood that the Soviets had used during the Cold War. It was to constantly bombard w falsehoods, lies, myths, conspiracy theories, propaganda at full force like a firehose. By doing that it was totally impossible for 1 lie to stand out for long bc there was another one hitting you immediately after. That's exactly how it is w Trump but w others their misstatements stand out. Every single candidate is gonna misspeak at some point bc they're human, & when talking that much, every day, they're just gonna make an error. Anybody who isn't ignorant & petty would of course figure out in an instant that VP mildly misspoke, bc his son was the AG of Delaware for a super long time. It's not anything outlandish. It's a simple error. With Trump he is constantly misspeaking but bc of that coming out firehose force it doesn't stand out as much. With him there's 2 issues, his mendacity bc he not only says things that are flat-out false but he repeats things that have been thoroughly shown as flat-out false over & over & over again. Things that are of importance that he lies about completely, not just little slip ups. Then with him with the misstatements it's not just mispronouncing a word now & then, there's very legit concerns about his cognitive decline bc he frequently is slurring, confabulating, just yammering about toilets & stuff. He cannot pronounce origins, tolerated, states - basic, easy words. It's not just a benign mistake when he cannot even spell Melania's name correctly on Twitter, or doesn't know that the team was from Kansas City, Missouri, it's symptomatic of how sloppy & careless he is he doesn't bother to read over what he writes. He puts the ignorance & sloppiness on display for the whole world to see & it doesn't just make him look bad.

Are those posters falsely claiming to be objective, authoritative sources for fact checking?

Yeah, I enjoyed all the posts attempting to prove that covefee (or hamburder or whatever) were actually not mistakes. It's that kind of hyper-partisan defense of some random politician that shows me how seriously to take certain viewpoints.

I'm not sure, nor am I sure of the point you're trying to make.

Are you actually saying that you do not see a substantive difference in the role of a poster on CF and that of a purported fact checking organization?

No, no I'm not. No idea where anyone could have honestly gotten that message from what I wrote.

Thanks for asking, though.

In their wildest dreams, the Soviets never dreamed the POTUS would out surpass their propaganda. Nor would they have appreciate how easily the AMerican people can be swayed swayed by such tactics.

Somehow I missed your response.
I think you made a good point, some of them do appear to have OCD tendencies. But to be honest it presents across all media, not just some media reporting on Trump. A laser focus was on Obama and H. Clinton as well, Fox never let up on either of them.

(snip) because they have been laser focused on Trump for three years. (snip)
Yeah! I mean, why were they were covering the current President of the United States for the last three years when they could've been concentrating instead on the former vice-President of the United States?
tulc(has no idea what they were thinking) :sigh:

This one has me stumped too, who's the other Biden? It's as though he started talking in the middle of a thought and then jumped to the end?
He needs to explain this one.

Maybe the other Biden is his son, Hunter.

Probably from this as a response to a critique of the usual fact checkers where you equate fact checking orgs spinning with CF posters spinning.
