You're posting in Christian Apologetics. Christian apologists attempt to use logical arguments and evidence to show that their beliefs are true. If you're not doing that (and you're not), why would you be posting here? It certainly doesn't help anyone, and in fact may give the wrong impression about what apologetics are.

My purpose in the Christian Apologetics section of the site is to listen to Christian apologetics and respond, perhaps hearing arguments I haven't heard before.

As I have a degree in Philosophy, I'm interested in logical arguments. My focus in College was Comparative Religions, so I'm intrigued by what people believe and why.

The problem with that approach is that all religions do the same thing - give testimony rather than evidence. Faced with a multitude of religions, the non believer has no way to judge if any of them correspond with reality.

Unfortunately, some are so deeply ensconced in group think, that all they need do is repeat the mantra, and hope you feel the same way they do about it. The idea of actually discussing ideas, and pitting your opinion against others terrifies them.

It doesn't help that the thought "I'm not convicting you, the Holy Spirit convicts you." is so prevalent. It's often used as an excuse to make no effort in communicating effectively with the audience. For an atheist such as myself, proselytizing instead of presenting evidence has no effect at all.

You're missing the point... we're all saying 'it's not okay.'

By choosing to communicate in such an obtuse manner, you deliberately alienate an entire demographic here on CF that your faith tells you to communicate with. And if that's not ironic enough, your chosen method of communication is lazy, to say the least.
