Is Jesus coming back to....

1) gather the righteous into an earthly millenial kingdom?

2) gather the wicked and Render to everyman according to his deeds and take us straight to the fathers house?

Below are some scriptures that deal with the latter.....(can someone else post scriptures on the former?)

"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

The good news is that it appears we are heading for the fathers house and dont have to spend a 1000 years longer on this old rock.

The Kingdom of God is at Hand to all who seek it. Have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, obey what he has commanded us to do on earth for he is our King. We must wait patiently, obediantly, and faithfully until he returns on the day of Judgement.

I take number 2. The scriptures you gave are the reason. If we see everyman as equal in God's eyes then number 1 would be out of the picture. Israel was God's people when they were promised the kingdom on earth. Jesus came and spoke only about heaven.

We see that old testament prophecies focus on Israel in an earthly kingdom and new testament prophecies focus on saints in heaven. Of course many would come in this thread and quote some old testament prophecies to support their belief. I will quote many new testament passages and prophecies to support mine.

What we need to ask ourselves is why does it seem to be a difference in how things play out when the prophecy was first told to Israel and how it is told in the new testament. Jesus himself speaking to people knowledgable of those prophecies only spoke about heaven. Why is that? Have you asked yourself why? Why must I hold on to a few passages and others hold on to their and not attempt to understand why there is a difference?

Consider this.
Who were God's people when the Old testament prophecies were given?
It was the nation of Israel and many of the prophecies had to do with God giving them back their land and fighting against their enemies.

Who were God's people when most of the new testament passages and prophecies were given?

Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

It was no longer the children of Israel but anyone who accepts Christ. Why would God then have to protect Israel from their enemies? Why would he have to give them back their land when their Goal should be heaven. These prophecies were directed to them to show them how things would play out if they remained faithful to him. They did not.
