The problem is that they will say that David's son was one of the chosen ones and not all babies are chosen. Here is one .
Remember davids baby , the one he fathered with Soloms mom.
The one that died. What did david say to those who wondered why he had stopped fasting and mourning.
David said the child wont be coming back . But that I will go to him.
David did not go to hell. That baby is in heaven.
Whoever said babies go to hell. Don't know God.
You give that scrip to whoever said otherwise. a baby. it don't know its hand from its foot.
People will just believe what they want to.The problem is that they will say that David's son was one of the chosen ones and not all babies are chosen.
All things, that originate in God can be saved. The devil has no origin in God, so he can not be saved.
That would be the world of believers not everyone in the world.
I just don't think that Hitler will be there
It's amazing to me how many people here on this Christian forum that state -- that the whole world will be saved.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world

It does not say everybody in the world did God love with a great love.
Where we read about God's great love is here.
Only God can answer why he loved us with that great love so that He made us alive. It was not because we believed, as we were following Satan at that time.
I said that criminals don't seek out police.
All men are sinners. They are guilty of violating God's law. Because of this guilt and their rebellion, they run and hide from God. They do not seek Him. He seeks them. Men don't want God anymore than a criminal wants the police.
In Calvinism that would be those God forced to believe that will be saved. And those who He forced to remain in unbelief will He torment eternally. Nobody has any choice one way or the other. It's all about luck. Or fate.
John 17:9 does not say that Jesus never prayed for the world. It's amazing to me how many people here on this Christian forum that state -- that the whole world will be saved.

God loves the world so much that HE did give the only begotten Son.John 3:16 puts that to rest. For God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER...
Whosoever means everybody and anybody that will ask for His help, not just some pure elect that can have no love in their heart for sinners. Whosoever means me, and you, and Hitler, and Dylan Thomas, and Mussolini, and Jack the Ripper, and all of what good people would call the worst scum in the world.

The trouble is, no one WILL. Anyone MAY, but no one CAN. John 6 makes this more than clear.
6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.
The word, "can" refers to ability, not permission. No one has the ability to come to Me unless the Father enable Him.
Precisely. One cannot say. His last thought might have been, "my Jesus, save me."

That indeed does go against the nature of God, WHO desires that NONE perish, but that all would come to repentance. And isn't that a cruel and unjust god that would do such a thing.
Saving love is different though, it is a special love God shows to just his elect. I mean, it is clear that his bestows his mercies on the just and unjust alike by giving us air, food, water, shelter, etc. That's an example of his love. But that God loves the world does not mean that he saves everyone in it. There's just too many verses in the Bible that say otherwise; one of the many indicators is how often Jesus preaches on hell. I've been told he talks more about it than any other topic, but I haven't had the time to add it up.
Only those who obey God's will shall be saved.
That's not talking about favoritism, it's talking about the mercy of God. God declares in his word that he will show mercy to whom he will show mercy. It's up to him. In his eternal counsel, before the beginning of time, he predestinated some to everlasting life (not based on anything they did either; that's where the favoritism can come from since God is no respecter of persons, in that way he does not show favoritism). That's not playing favorites, it just what he wanted to do. You don't question God, he can do what he wants with his creation.
