Jericho, and Stupid Can't be Fixed

They saw destruction coming they closed their gates and did nothing and were destroyed. With the exception of Rahab who believed in the power of the God of Israel, the walls of the unbelievers of Jericho were no match to God's will.

Are there those among us who are hiding in the walls of their own deceit with their doors shut to the noise of the approaching onslaught.

Are you hiding in the rocks and the mountains of the theological hierarchy who convince and even persuade you to abide just as those who practice unrighteousness? What an uncomfortable place to be when Christ returns. Christ did it all for you, right?

So, you close your doors to anything that's different, and become a closed community and you create a world walled in it's own deceit.

Cast away the old testament, and choose and pick through the new testament and then feel good that when you die in the flesh that you'r covered. Got all your bases covered, right?

Not much can be said to those hiding within their walls, because outside of faith is just stupid. There is no serious repentance, and there are no paths to follow, but the familiar crooked way of our ancestors, the windy road of good intentions. As a scripture says:

2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

One can never learn if one hides in his or her little walled off world.

God does not call everyone to faith, and how does one know that calling:

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I believe the Word of God starts at Genesis and goes through Revelation.

Hearing begins at the door.

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

It is the door of faith, and here you are to present your offering as the Jews did at their temple. What shall you bring, and if it is less than what God finds acceptable, you will never get access. This will hinder most people who are hindered by false ideas and doctrines of what is to be expected.

If you are sorrowful for your sins knowing that Christ died because of sin(including yours) and repent, then there may be an open door.

Luk 12:35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
Luk 12:36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
Luk 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

You don't want to be as Jericho:

Jos 6:1 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

The circumstances may not be favourable to multitudes, for are you surrounded by false teachers who speak and draw you into their subtle web?

God may send His messengers to help but the deceitful will do their deceitfully best to keep the gates shut to God's truth:

Isa 24:10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

This city of confusion has turned the word of faith into delusion and shuns from the knowledge of the truth. The delusion comes because of this:

Deu 29:19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:

Rev 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

Isa 24:20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

Christ said this would happen to those who strayed from His teachings:

Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Faith cannot be built on any thing other than the truth. Paul gave a bleak forecast for the perseverance of faith and truth:

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Senselessness continues along with ignorance and sleeps in it's foley. It does not lift up it's head nor concede it's mistakes, but rather boast in it's own conceit, and is to proud to change.

Jer 51:9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.
Jer 51:10 The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.

To those who are fleeing from Babylon, lift up your heads, and look up.

Psa 24:9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

For sometime now, people have not been able to lift up their head.

Zec 1:18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
Zec 1:19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

Mob or crowd mentality rules the night but the Day of the Lord is coming!

Why is that the case? I come from the midwest and we are no strangers of bs. It is really a big show and the grand puppeteer (satan) has done well at pulling the wool over this crowd, and they do show a type of wisdom and go through much learning, but in all their hype, it is void of true substance:

1Co 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

The world of man and religious wisdom has always sought vast amounts of knowledge to neander around the righteousness of God and substitute unrighteousness in a way that looks righteous:

2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2Co 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

They say a lot but their word's go around and around and are void of light. They do well to avoid the law and the prophets unless there is something they can use to promote unrighteousness.

I don't have any remorse for them, for just as religion had turned ugly at the time of Christ in it's own diabolical way. Satan has led the religious wisdom of today and the powers of darkness are in all the places of earthly power. They are wise to do evil and ensnare the unknowing in their bs.

2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

I think this is referring to the Babylon identified in Revelation and she is to proud and stubborn, as well as UNTEACHABLE. As I showed this scripture in the thread, Babylon cannot be fixed. She is spiritually stupid (senseless) to God's way:

Perhaps it would be more accurate to say; We chose to believe and some chose to not believe. However that might be confusing, if you do not understand, "all" choices of men were "made", before they were born. We do not "remember" our choices. We do not "remember" being born. We do not "remember" our infancy, being a toddler, and do not "remember" many things from child-hood, even adult-hood.

Man "simply" not "remembering", has no bearing on the facts.

"the calling" - is what men can "recall". The "recall", is effected by what men, hear, read, and DO remember.

Men don't exist, simply because we OBSERVE and SEE them being REVEALED.
Men have existed, since God created the Earth, from which He "formed" the first man, and call him Adam.

Who SAW Adam being formed? God and His angels. But no other MEN.

When God created and made the EARTH - He also created and made the WHOLE host of all that would occupy the Earth as their habitat.

Men, simply WAIT to see, what all God created and made and chose to be WITH Him or not.

The tribulation occurred because of the light of God that set up the truth. Evil men came in an stomped out the light and cast down the truth.

Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

There won't be much recall possible if no one is doing the works. Religious chaos, everyone doing what is right in their own eyes, no one true governing authority, like the breakdown of the civil world, and then all you have is little para-military groups spreading their will on the people, and others just fending for themselves. It is like the religious world today.

Just some things that came to mind while reading your post...the first to name God was Hagar who bore Abraham's first son (not of the promise).

I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob

Abraham believed God. Isaac the second son (of promise) placed on the altar, replaced by a lamb sacrifice. Jacob, wrestled with God from the dark of night til the dawn, not giving up until he received the promise...he got a new name. A picture of the process taking place within/our soul's journey to the revealing of the truth that we are...

Two son's...Alpha and Omega, First and Last, beginning and end (takes us back to the beginning) Adam/Christ...One Father of us all...when we can 'see'...

I think of the beginning and end is like a book maybe the Book of Life, also, in respect to the feast days which have a 1st day and a last day, like the Feast of Unleavened bread (7 days long) and the Feast of
Tabernacles (8 days) actually 7 days + 8th great day. The beginning and end are special because they are required Sabbaths. Perhaps these feast days are related to the Book of Life.

Yep. The day shall come, when "darkness", anti-Christs, occupy the earth; a few believers, in hiding, NONE doing the "work" to spread the Word of God.

There will be a world ruling power, and people will live in fear, without ruling power protection or means to protect themselves, and subject to the ruling power by the minions of the ruling power. Today there are small fractions, reeking havoc; in the future it will be one global government, and one suppressed people, and a few in hiding.

Today, we see signs of what SHALL be, being REVEALED, fulfilling prophecy.
Today, we further see the PEOPLE, begging for the fulfilling of prophecy, of people collectively oppressed.
And as Jesus said; they know not what they do.

BTW - REVEALING is not only "seeing", it is also "knowledge" being given.

The kingdom is within...we are the Book of Life...when all that is not of Christ be erased...God's glory restored...

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus...

During Christ, men were given more knowledge and given the key (the understanding of HOW TO understand Gods Word, meaning, according to God.

Truth is God is Eternal and through-out different periods of history He has been revealed with numerous names. The name Christ, the name Jesus, the name Son of God, was not revealed for men to Call Him by those names, until the last days, which began 2000+ years ago.

Heb.1
[1] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
[2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

And yes, before CHRIST was known revealed to men, as the Son of God, men were given 600+ laws to obey. And Jesus came to fulfill the Law, reveal CHRIST, and accomplished what He came to do.

Now you may think there is a tribulation yet to come and there may be one, but the significance of understanding those two scriptures is the cause and effect; the righteous judgment and the sufferings of the church.

Righteous, meaning according to the commandment of God, that judgment was carried out according to the will of God. Christ said that He was purposed to come and execute judgment:

Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

This was to bring to light the will of God to manifest the truth:

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

This was prophesied in Zechariah:

Zec 8:16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

I'm going to step up a step in faith (with knowledge) and say that the execution of judgment was the kindling of the fire of the Altar and was set to manifest God's will to be done on Earth as is done in Heaven. The Heavenly is to be duplicated by the Earthly, for God the Father is the example for His children to follow. Christ, His life, His works, His walk on Earth was a pattern from heaven to be followed by those on Earth:

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

In the Law concerning the daily sacrifice is the morning and evening offerings commanded:

Exo 29:38 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.
Exo 29:39 The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
Exo 29:40 And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
Exo 29:41 And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

God makes the pattern of the heavenly to be followed by the earthly, a way that can be duplicated by teaching, for He says His will is for knowledge rather than burnt offerings:

Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

The teachings of the Law that He gave Moses were according to the flesh but to show the Spiritual intent would take a manifestation by light/Spirit to reveal the heavenly purpose and will of God. The fire of the Altar would provide this light to make for a pleasing offering. This fire or light of the altar is provided by the Spirit of judgment:

Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

According to commandment, this fire is to be burning in the Altar in the morning:

Lev 6:12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
Lev 6:13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

Spiritually, the morning is the heavenly, the kingdom of God and the judgment fire shall be eternally set. It shall eventually be established in the Earth/man.

Isa 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
Isa 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

For the Earth is a Altar:

Exo 20:24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

Who can dwell with the fire:

Isa 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

God is a consuming fire, His ministers a flame of fire.

But fire is light and this brightens the Altar to show what is a pleasing offering:

Psa 43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Psa 43:4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

Christ almost spoke the same thing:

Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

The light manifest the righteousness of God and this shows the spiritual intent of the grain offering and drink offering which are the substance that make up the will of God.

So if the light of judgment is shut off, the world goes into darkness, the will of God goes to confusion, and the sufferings of the body of Christ cease:

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

The tribulation has occurred:

2Th 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
2Th 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

Now you may think there is a tribulation yet to come and there may be one, but the significance of understanding those two scriptures is the cause and effect; the righteous judgment and the sufferings of the church.

Righteous, meaning according to the commandment of God, that judgment was carried out according to the will of God. Christ said that He was purposed to come and execute judgment:

Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

This was to bring to light the will of God to manifest the truth:

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

This was prophesied in Zechariah:

Zec 8:16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:

I'm going to step up a step in faith (with knowledge) and say that the execution of judgment was the kindling of the fire of the Altar and was set to manifest God's will to be done on Earth as is done in Heaven. The Heavenly is to be duplicated by the Earthly, for God the Father is the example for His children to follow. Christ, His life, His works, His walk on Earth was a pattern from heaven to be followed by those on Earth:

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

In the Law concerning the daily sacrifice is the morning and evening offerings commanded:

Exo 29:38 Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.
Exo 29:39 The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
Exo 29:40 And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
Exo 29:41 And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

God makes the pattern of the heavenly to be followed by the earthly, a way that can be duplicated by teaching, for He says His will is for knowledge rather than burnt offerings:

Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

The teachings of the Law that He gave Moses were according to the flesh but to show the Spiritual intent would take a manifestation by light/Spirit to reveal the heavenly purpose and will of God. The fire of the Altar would provide this light to make for a pleasing offering. This fire or light of the altar is provided by the Spirit of judgment:

Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

According to commandment, this fire is to be burning in the Altar in the morning:

Lev 6:12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
Lev 6:13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

Spiritually, the morning is the heavenly, the kingdom of God and the judgment fire shall be eternally set. It shall eventually be established in the Earth/man.

Isa 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
Isa 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

For the Earth is a Altar:

Exo 20:24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

Who can dwell with the fire:

I think you missed the part early in the writing where I said there may be another tribulation,in fact I know there will be one. The tribulations of the early church were drawn from light having the intensity of the moon at night, but the next tribulation ( which you call great, (and likely it will be)), will be drawn by the intensity like or in comparison to light of the morning sun:

Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

In the daily sacrifice there was two offerings, the morning and the evening, and evening eventually turns back to morning.

This is not about history, it is about prophecy:

Just let you know that the gospel begins at the door and only those who believe THE SCRIPTURES and believe they crucified Christ because of their sins and repent will enter. Christ is the door by faith and those who hear His voice might enter. The prototype of this understanding is:

Exo 29:42 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.
Exo 29:43 And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.

This is what Paul referred to as the Spirit of Faith:

2Co 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
