A friend of mine gave me a few of his songs, and Im really really liking him ALOT.

So Im just wondering if anyone else here listenes to him, and can recomend a cd to me?

Buy Grace.

I'm an atheist, and really am not a fan of quasi-religious music, but this man's word is absolutely beautiful. "Hallelujah," despite being a Leonard Cohen cover, is breathtaking.

Google for Buckley; there's a lot out there about him. But Grace is one you should definitely pick up.

(Tonight, I found "Are You Experienced?", new, for ~$10. I am happy. )

Grace is one awesome piece of album - and the main reason he's my fave solo artist. And that version of Hallelujah is just breathtakingly moving. If you can get hold of the special 10th anniversary edition of Grace you'll be all but set, Candice! (I'm giving very serious thought to getting it just because of an awesome live version of Eternal Life that's on it) I have another CD of live stuff called Mystery White Boy which has most of the songs from Grace on it.

Yah the song is amazing. Its almost haunting ya know? It gives me chills, and I lvoe his voice.
I think I just might pick it up.

Sketches for my Sweetheart has some great songs on it too ( it was issued post-mortem ) but Grace is, IMO, one of the best albums I've ever heard.

Well I think Im going to pick up Grace today if I have the energy to do that much walking. But I think it might be worth it

Sis, I guarantee you it is worth it whenever you do have teh time to buy it...my other highlight tracks are Grace, Last Goodbye, Eternal Life and Lover, You Should've Come Over.

KJ, run and buy the Legacy edition of Grace. Not only does it include the Eternal Life cut, it also has the 15 minute live version of Big Star's "Kangaroo."
Well worth the price of admission.

The live album Mystery White Boy is worth a look, worth it for the 8 minute rendition of Dream Brother alone, plus the cover of The Smith's I Know It's Over.
