The trouble is that there are particular laws that state that in many cases that violates the 8th amendment particularly if the person has no prior record.

Understood. But it's no secret how serious our justice system can be when it comes to the exploitation of children. Especially in that sense. I merely meant, especially from the standpoint of the judge who sentenced him, the sentence fit the crime.

Even he was not accused or convicted of a sexual crime he would get protective custody based on his being high profile, but for the crime he is convicted of he will CERTAINLY do all his time in PC or else the prison may be sued.

As such the level of "freedom" he will have will be determined by the prison to which he is assigned. Some the only PC they have is that seg area while others have blocks for PC where inmates who follow the rules get the same benefits as their mainline ( general population) counterparts.

Sentence was too lenient...

14 different victims...that shows a behavioral pattern. It's not as if it was an isolated incident where he thought a girl was 20 and it turned out after the fact she was 16-17 and lied about her age.

This is a scenario where he knew what he was doing, and did it 14 times.

1.1 million in restitution and 15 years is a slap on the wrist when you look at it from this angle.

At age 51, he'll be a free man with the remaining $12 million of his net worth to enjoy a comfortable early retirement. I agree with the other poster in this thread...throw away the key.

For actual contact the youngest of the girls was 16. Looking at that the sentence seems harsh. But right after that it seems likely he facilitated the filming of girls without their knowledge in an ongoing situation.

That he will get out at 51 and have $12 million without ever having done anything productive does make the sentence seem light.

Keeping in mind, he was also in possession of illegal porn, and knowingly crossed state lines to engage in said conduct. (Why the crossing state lines thing elevates the penalty, I'm not sure, but that's besides the point).

You hear of regular Joe's who get that kind of sentence just for the illegal files on their computer (sometimes more)...this guy had that + the actually physical engaging and he's only getting 15 years.

If he still has access to his money he could afford a good attorney. Regular Joe can't buy that kind of justice.
