Job complained a lot.
Of course, if we are saved by the Law then Galatians shouldn't be in the Bible, it is basically a treatise against this... maybe the most important assertion within being "I am in labor pains until Christ is born in you"...
This is the role of a Spiritual Father, to guide us to union with God... yet, while it tells the signs of the Spirit, it only says none will cause us to break the law...
This is the actual Gospel...
Job complained a lot.
I can call them Pink Elephants if it is more comfortable for you, the point is these are those already with the Spirit who can help us towards it.
The actual Gospel is Galatians, and it is the first text of the Christians. The four biographies are not Gospels at all even though they be called such.
What does Kingdom mean? It means the domain of the King... all who accept him are that.
I do not particularly want resurrection on this earth or a mansion in heaven... I want God.
Did I somehow miss the part about someone's imminent death? Or have you added that in?
I am not acting as expected because my purpose is in cleansing his heart... that is empathy, not any consolation.

It is not an issue that a worldly source can fix. I need a miracle to improve the situation. The only one that CAN help is God, and He refuses to do so. His words of comfort (insert whatever spiritual term or reason is meaningful to you) are the person speaking in the passage. Empty, with no good being actually done.
This is odd here... what is the beam in my eye?
If you can accept what has happened to her you will stop hating God.
I hope for your sake you reconsider my words when you calm down, if you are a true Christian you should even rejoice that she may be going soon... you fear death, but she is going to the true life...
Have you ever had a girlfriend? Have you ever been loved by a woman? Has anyone ever desired to share their life with you until death? That's what we're talking about.
If you've never been chosen. If you've never had a woman entrust herself to your care completely. You can't fathom what it's like to lose it.
Yours in His Service,
~Bella
This is possibly the most perfect definition I have ever read in my life.
I wouldn't want platitudes or well meaning words
He needs to hear it until it reaches his heart... because he's hanging onto the wrong thing...
A. I wish you comfort about your mother, and hope she recovers. It's not platitudes though...
I've been through death more than most, I've lost my father when I was 22, my daughter when she was 23, all of my grandparents, and tonight my mother may not make it through the night.
There is a difference in Christianity though, as a Christian. As a Christian we have a hope... we know what happens to our loved ones who die...
The Bible tells us:
"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope." 1 Thessalonians 4:13
This man is grieving like I did prior to accepting Christ as my savior, prior to when I knew our hope.
He needs to accept that we DO have a hope, that death is not the end, and his wife will be with Christ after she passes from here.
He needs to hear it until it reaches his heart... because he's hanging onto the wrong thing...
He can either kill himself with grief, or he can hold onto our Savior and all the promises of God and have peace that her suffering is almost over, and she will soon be alive with Christ.
It won't stop tears for the loss, but it does allow one to find peace with our Lord.
James 2:15 “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
Is this warned against because it is supposed to be that God is the only one who is supposed to tell you to be comforted without actually improving your situation? Is this one of those rights, such as vengeance, He is jealous of for only Himself?
You missed the point of the post. God’s “help” is exactly what the person in the verse is doing. Telling me it is good, but not actually helping. The gospel works, and God is not 'indebted' to anyone. Sometimes life is hard even as christian, if we keep trying to be faithful and keep praying God is going to do great things. And you can get satisfaction from God you can't get anywhere else in this world.
