Seriously, I think Jack Chick is TOTALLY a bad idea. He's a heretic and a blasphemer - and his illustrations are sort of scary sometimes when their faces are all messed up and weird...

Chick doesn't preach Christ in every way. Hatemongering and lying are not preaching Christ. Now, his motives are a mystery. We can't know the man's mind. We can only see what comes from it. And what comes from it is not the light of Christ. I thank God that some people have been brought to Christ through Chick tracts. Not because of them, but in spite of them. But I have to wonder how many of those who came to Christ courtesy of Mr. Chick escaped being infected with his poison.

I'm afraid the bottome line is that you're not going to convince any Catholics here to go to Jack Chick for proper theology . . . even if he may have some mixed in with his other stuff. The truth is, there are a multitude of good Catholic sources in the form of websites, publications, tracts, etc. We prefer them. No offence. Now how about just dropping this?

Even if SOME of his tracts by themselves are worth a little something, I would never use material from someone who clearly bashes the snot out of Catholics. I would much rather use material from someone who is entirely dedicated to glorifying God and NOT spreading prejudice.

I think this is nonsense. I don't go to conspiracy theorists to get my theology, especially when its intended not only to complete distort and fabricate a faith, attacking it and attempting to smash it through lies and corruption.

The point is, if any nonCatholic wishes to read Chick, go ahead, I'll stick to sources that attempt to at least argue based on merit and not some wacko who continuously argues about something even after so many years, isn't interested in the truth.

Jack Chick is right about your life being better after being saved. Knowing that your going to Heaven, and having your life turned around has been the best thing ever to happen to me, even if it means getting persecuted because of my faith.

No one can ‘know’ they are going to heaven. Just one more false thing Chick prints.

Now, we have hope, a rock solid assurance because we have been redeemed by Jesus and through faith and perseverance in that faith we will be saved in the end of we don’t throw that away by opting to live a life of unrepented sin instead.

I have never read where Chick teaches that.

We are wrong at times, we are all liars at times, but Im not to here to call Jack Chick any worse than I am, since I too am a sinner. One of Jack Chick's only mistakes was against Catholicism, but people fail to realize how many people his tracts have helped to become saved, and how many tell the truth and are entirely backed up by scripture. Critisize him about what he says about Catholicism, but dont critisize him about things which are entirely biblical, if anything, he is just another person trying to spread the Good Word. Seems as though there is a lot of ignorence towards him, something that is a big mistake.

Chick has the power to save no one. And getting on the knee and formally accepting Christ does not save you either- doing God's will does and I don't see Chick doing God's will because God's will isn't trashing His bride, the Church. Do you get this? You can not preach for Christ but against His bride the Church. It is impossible.
