Your posts arent working. Eternal punishment in hell for even for just one mistake and not the faith to accept and or change religion will never be justifiable in my eyes. BTW, I dont believe in christs divinty for two reasons, if he WAS GOD, he wouldnt have to pray to himself. Two, christ was taught judaism, his teachings reflected what was allready taught in judaism.
We put salvation into perspectives like a wonder drug. I heard that one before. trust me, if people are certain they are dying, they will try anything, but if a person doesnt believe in such a hell as us, why would they think theres a medicine for it. To them its like a medicine for a disease that doesnt exhist.
BTW, whitehorse, i know your trying to help, but you're not. It was YECs that take the bible literally like you that turned everyting into sumthing bad hence the start of my disgust of my very religion. You can tell me all these things from the bible, but its not helping. I cant trust the bible, I hate it, its a cold book, i got no happy message from it, even those that are supposed to be good. And i just cant take it literally. I could love God and Christ, and hate everything else, but then whats the point.
BTW, I dont know what your thoughts on what magick really is, But to me
its nothing more than a pagans prayers. And religions that use magick live a lot in superstition and myths and self deciet....thinking its real. I have never seen or heard honestly of magick that resulted in flashy effects, like magic of rpgs and fantasy literature, Which in is depicted as a special exclusive skill, or ability. Not a religious practice. Have you? I doubt it.

Christiangamer, I see your arguments. Every new Christian goes through them. Every young Christian goes through them. After 30+ years of Christianity, do you really suppose you can say anything I haven't heard before?

First of all, Jesus wasn't praying to Himself. God is triune. He is a trinity. There are three distinct persons to the God head: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus was praying to the Father. Out of righteousness, sure, but as an example to us. In fact, the Bible uses your very argument to prove Jesus is the messiah.

Secondly, when the judgment comes, human opinions of God's justice isn't going to make a bit of difference. He's God, and, well, we aren't. Deciding not to believe in Him only hurts the person for whom He died. He's untouchable.

Not everyone who dies "tries God" to get out of it. I have a friend who passed away just recently, hard in her heart as a rock. Likewise, I have friends who are very devout Christians, from a variety of life experiences. They came to the Lord in easy times and hard, and stayed with Him through easy times and hard.

As for my helping you, you can certainly bet that as a Christian I do pray this is the purpose for which God is sending you His truth each day. Because God's word never returns void. There is a promise about that in scripture as well. But the Bible only says that the word will achieve the purpose for which God has sent it. It does not say what God's purpose is for each person.

But I will say you're in the right place. The Christians I've met in this place are devoted, loving, and caring. This really is a top notch group. You did the right thing coming here. Get a taste of God's love-see what He's really about.

You're right-I am very concerned for you, and I am praying for you. Please don't hurt yourself in an attempt to get back at God. It won't work.

Maybe you are feeling like ****, maybe you're about to give up. But just find a time at night, when everything is quiet, and really kneel down before Our LORD, Our Father in Heaven in prayer. Just cry out to Him, all your heartaches, misgivings about this life, all the pain and suffering, let you put them before GOD.

Its very simple, just clear your mind, quieten your heart, as you reflect on this for the LORD says to Trust in Him with all of our hearts and lean not upon our own earthly and finite understanding, just pray to Our LORD, and He will show you wonders and Bless you greatly. The crucial point is this, that we MUST trust in Him with all of our heart and mind and soul, weaken ourselves and admit and confess Our Sins, then and only then can the Power of the Holy Spirit come inside of us and heal us!

Please do not be deceived by the evil one! Our Father will forgive us of all of our sins, the trick that the great deceiver always use is this, that because of that one sin that we committed, we in our own eyes are evil! Or we feel in others eyes we are evil! But that is NOT true, if we as human beings can learn to give the best to our loved ones, then Surely Our Father in Heaven can forgive us of all of our sins if we confess! Because simply Jesus died for us on the cross! Remember no one can judge us except for Him!

Well, I guess I'm better now. I have my faith again. I feel better.
Yet I still have personal distaste for the bible, so i will not base my life on everything in it. Im most definitely not perfect, but I've found a new way. And its simply the golden rule. Do unto others, as you would have do unto them. I think God understands what we go through, how we feel, and why we do the things we do, and that he forgives all. Christian or not. Sounds edgy, but thats the way I view an all loving and graceful God. Not one that blackmails his creation. Please dont accuse me of worshipping my own God, thats not the case. Yet i still remain agnostic, to keep an open mind to the world around me, I know that I am saved and happy, and that God will provide for the "lost." I will not judge the world as "evil" for its too strong a word. But embrace the world as christ did.

If you decide not to live your life according to what is in the Bible, and you reject the authority of the Bible, it is important to think through on what basis you're doing so. How do you determine what is true? What is the authority? How do you arrive at the conclusion that God will save nonChristians? This isn't the time to wander away, friend. You neeed support now more than ever. Not everyone who turns away returns one day, so please don't fall away.

I'm going through a tremendous struggle right now with myself, sin, and repentance, but the only thing keeping me with God is knowing that He loves me, and that I will DIE if I don't go back to Him. This is not a matter of religion. This is a matter of eternity. You have no idea how deep in deceit you are. Repent now. Please. For your sake, for God's sake, do it. You are not just human. You are part of God's family now. Please don't leave. This is not just a mental problem, this is real, and you need to go to God. if you don't, God has specifically said that you WILL die. You WILL be punished, you WILL be scourged, and you WILL be judged. if you do not repent, your judgment will be swift, severe, and fatal, and you do NOT want that, I assure you, no matter what you or anyone else thinks.

Please. God loves you. There is a God. He loves you, please don't forget that. He wants to help, He's willing to do all the work, anything just to keep you with Him.

please understand. God doesn't want to to go. He died for you, man. I know what you're going through, I know you're depressed, but He DIED for you. you have any idea what that means? He gave up everything for YOU. let me tell you, I think I can safely say that I must be the worst cynic to date. I hate people. I hate life. I do. I've been through it all. but you know what?

I wouldn't be here without God. He's the only One who saved me. Everything I have is His, and I love Him. you can have this love, this peace, too. in all my mental anguish, in all my sufferings, in all my faliures and wrongs and stupidity, God is my strength, and in Him, my sufferings become peace.


You can too. We can. you are not just a human. you have the potential to be one of the greatest spiritual minds to serve God and glorify Him. you're asleep, and once you awaken, God will give you glory, honor, peace, love, joy, happiness, wonder, family, perfection, repentance, anything and everything good and wonderful in existence, dreams and glory and love beyond your wildest dreams. even if I don't you have the potential. you can do it. God can do it.

Yes, and I love life. I love what God has given me, but you know what? I have no problem with the secularness of our world. I don't. I don't know why, I just don't. I dont care if gays get married, or that teens have a kegger party, or even janet jacksons boobie on tv, (i thought it was funny) I dont care if people are different religions, they're trying to do what they believe is right, why would God punish? Someone in this thread basicly accused me of blasphemy because of my distaste for the bible, when somebody could say that the bible makes God look like a spoiled blackmailing brat with a flamethrower. I believe the bible does that two. If Sodom and Gommorah we're real, thats just a sign of hate because God cruely destroyed it. If the flood happened, many people drowned. Instead, I choose not to believe it, but worship the God who has blessed me so, the God with INFINITE love, MERCY, and forgiveness for ALL. Sure not all people get that kind a luxury, but thats out of my comprehension. The bible was written by man, you could say God had "protected" it, that doesnt mean he did. God "could" have spoken to people literally, that doesnt mean he did. Wackos like Gery Fowlwell, and jack chick make ridiculous claims too. I can't believe so many people put so much stock into the bible and rejoice in it. Its a horrible book to me. BTW, if the bible is 100% verbatim true, salvation isnt free, you give up your freedom. Yet I wont hold my distaste for the bible against God, its not worth it. And tell me, if the golden rule is so obolete, why is it the golden rule?
Look I'm not giving up on God, just the religion based on words.

BTW, with all do respect for "religious" people. You're happy with your faith, tho i cant understand why, but please give a little respect to me. Not everyones like you.

Im sorry if I offended anybody, but now i think this post will just conitinue as a giant argument that wont go anywhere, so I'm gonna turn the cheek, tho you arent my enemies, and I hope that those of you who are trying to "help" me, respect me for the way I am, as I have found respect for your devoutness. I believe God has blessed you greatly, spiritually, thus your devoutness without question. And I respect that, just please stop judging me, you dont know me like say, God.
