I think it served a purpose but I don't use it much. I certainly don't hate it. Can I ask why you have such a strong feeling against it?

I used Facebook for about a week before choosing to disable my account. It seemed redundant if somewhat intrusive.

It has it's good things, but those seem to be getting to be few and far between. I work 6 days a week and all kinds of weird hours, so it's nice for me to be able to keep up with what's going on in friends/family's lives.

I never hated FB so much as I just never felt it was right for me. There were a few times in my early to mid-20's where I almost jumped in but never did (I don't regret it). I much prefer Twitter.

The problem comes when the devil doesn't even have to try and tempt us with the really bad stuff, because we are too pre-occupied spending all the waking day reading about someone whom we have only ever met once at a party, through a friend of a friend; who now has a new BFF, made a sandwich or been to the bathroom. Talk about a waste of time.

I see nothing wrong with Facebook. I don't hate it. I don't love it. It's a useful tool for staying connected with friends and family back home whilst I am studying abroad. It is also useful for seeing what social events are coming up with my friends and societies here.
