Thank you! I find it difficult to know who to ask/where to go. The thing is, having never read the bible, I have practically 0 knowledge. I started looking into the bible and understood that there are no parts of the original version anymore. I started to look at the dead sea scrolls, because I understood they're the closest to the original!

You don't sound weird; you sound curious. Research the history of the biblical canon, but don't get too distracted by it; what's important is reading Scripture.

I used the NASB for a long time and really liked it. The Amplified Bible is good if you like your words fleshed out. I think the most important thing is to find a translation vs. a paraphrase. KJV, NASB, ESV, RSV, and NIV are all translations. The Message is a paraphrase.

Depending on how studious you want to be, you could try just 1 chapter a day, 2 of the Old Testament & 1 of the New Testament at the same time (starting at the beginning of each), or just one book at a time. If you go that route, I think Genesis, John, Psalms, and Proverbs are all good to start with. One day at a time, though, and pray. Just talk to Him like anyone else. I think as you read Scripture, you'll learn better how to talk to Him. Don't lay more weight on yourself than you need to; God understands.
