With God, we can make good use of things.

But God is all-loving; so the good He brings through trouble, even, will have His all-loving benefit.

For example, we have all that happened to Joseph > Genesis 37-50. But God was with Joseph, but not only did God bless Joseph who was being faithful to the LORD, but God blessed many people, plus He saved the lives of those brothers who did what they did to Joseph.

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the LORD delivers him out of them all."

(Psalm 34:19)

"But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing."
(in Psalm 34:10)

But the good has to do with not only getting things for myself, but for loving any and all people . . . and the good of pleasing our Father by becoming pleasing to Him like Jesus and loving like Jesus.
