CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i'm in florida (so i really don't need the heat) but we have complete control of our thermostats... actually i was in the mood to wear a sweatshirt earlier, so i ended up turning on the AC...so weird to do that in Nov! at home everyone is freezing to death...

heehee yeah there are some benefits to going to college in FL...
but i'm going home later today (my plane lands in MD in 1002 minutes) so i'll be cold like the rest of you. my best friend IMed me the other day, saying she was typing wearing gloves...

i'm in northern alabama. it wouldn't be so bad if it had gradually gotten cold but noooo... it was 71 the day before yesterday and yesterday it was 35. drastic drop in temp.

/me has never seen a drop like that, and she's on the coast pretty far north, where they're notorious for needing sunhats and sou-wester hats in the same day

/me says that it was roughly 70 a few days ago, and got down to the 30's here too. Which is fairly cold for CA. paulewog still only wears a light jacket though
