The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

On noThe Raccoon butterfly fish died tonight, in the QT tank.![]()
On no![]()
Was he a new addition.... or an old fish that showed signs he was sick?
The Raccoon butterfly fish died tonight, in the QT tank.![]()
It was a new fish that was in a quarantine tank for two weeks before dyeing.
It's common in this hobby, I've been doing this since I was 21 years old, non stop and don't see me stopping any time soon.
The fish had ich a parasite, that is not always visible when you see them in the store until they been in the tank for a few days; it attacks their gills and enough said.
New fish in the QT tank already, much hardier type fish than the butterfly, it's in the wrasse family.

Oh yeah...good old ICH
The Wrasse family have beautiful fish!
They aren't cheap; does your supplier guarantee your fish for a period of time after purchase?
Enjoy; I could sit there watching them all day![]()
I figured as much ~ my little Siamese Betta costs just a few bucks, so I can get a full refund up to a month from purchaseThe guarantee's on saltwater fish are pretty weak, because they aren't cheap.
Then new fish in the QT tank now is a Vrolik's Wrasse, a beautiful fish.
Steve, praising God for your good news and praying the news just keeps getting better. Fish are very relaxing to watch.
Here's my tanks Gail.
Display tank 75 gallon
Sump tank underneath display tank 20 gallon
Quarantine tank 20 gallon
Freshwater tank 29 gallon
Nice set up SteveThe tanks look pristine!
How many fish do you have in your 75 gal tank?
Oh no
There must be some sort of netting you can use to prevent that?
Beautiful tanks Steve. I didn't realize fish "jumped" until i had 2 Betta fish that both jumped out of their tanks. Sorry about your red velvet wrasse Steve. (((hug)))
The tank has a glass canopy covering only but a small area in the rear of the tank and it was covered by plastic, but he found a spot that was vulnerable, and took the leap. I have seen my other wrasse try for a jump and smack the glass canopy so hard, that you think it would knock her out.
I have not seen the new wrasse in the QT yet, it has buried itself in the sand, something this genera of wrasse is known for doing.
I think most of us fish owners have had surfers at one time or anotherThanks Brenda; I've lost a few carpet surfers.![]()
