Because the bible does not promise us health or wealth.
Have you never read Paul's testimony in the bible, or his letters to the early churches.
Have you not noted howmany times Paul was beaten, why did he promise Christians facing perscution a better life with Jesus and not that their injuries would be healed and their stolen propery would be replaced.

Please start taking and reading missionary magerzines and prayer letters and learn about the poverty than most Christians in the world live in.
i know a lot of rich christians

to find wisdom, according the bible it's easy

Yes!! Absolutely! This is part of my testimony when I came back to God as a Prodigal Daughter in Christ! :D
I finally took a good look at myself and figured out I was going around in circles, kinda like what the Isrealites did when wondering the desert for 40 years. Looking into my own heart and knew God was speaking to me a few days earlier, trying to get my attention. It worked, I was thinking of ending it all and thought following God was too hard and that I could never amount to His standards. I knew nothing about God even though I grew up in a half Christian home.

Point is, God is SO Gracious!!! I asked Him for His wisdom, His ways and His truth without being hindered anymore. The very next day, wow! Did He ever give me wisdom in abundance! He hasn't ceased giving since 2014.

*******
We should all be looking at the Bible in its entirety. We shouldn't be nit-picking each other - especially when we don't know where we all are in God's walk. Haven't we read: Matthew 11:25 We all start somewhere in our Christian walk with God.

1 Kings 3:10-12

10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11 So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

That's what God said: He gave Solomon wisdom. Nowhere does God say He took it away. It's not really my place to argue with that.

That's not an answer to the questions i asked.

In the beginning, when God granted wisdom to Solomon, he WAS wise. Then when he fell into abhorrent sins that, in essence spit in the face of God, are you saying he was WISE then?

I asked you specific questions in post #19.

Would you care to respond to THOSE questions?

Thank you kindly.

I think the Lord gives us all wisdom. How many of us pay attention, though?

The Bible tells us to ask God for wisdom so I don't think it's freely given to everybody??

I've known a few that seemed to never even had a taste.

And in addition there is no wisdom if one does not "fear the Lord".

But I think the Lord is trying to lead us all to his kingdom.

Have more faith in the Lord if the Lord was trying to lead us all to the kingdom then we would all be in the Kingdom it just does not appear that's the way it works.

Sounds good to man but not in the plan.

But to me it makes more sense. He doesn't create people so that they will suffer for ever. He loves us and has the disciplinary skills to bring us around.

I hope this does not mean that you think everybody ends up in heaven?

Let us all remember Jesus preached more about hell than he did about heaven.

That should tell us something folks.

But to me it makes more sense.

Man always thinks he knows what's best putting his man plan above God's plan.

Remember how God put Job in his place?

I would never tell God that what he has planned is not fair.

But you have to understand what heaven and hell are.

For anybody that has attended church and read their Bible a little that would ((not be rocket science)).

Little kids in Sunday school can explain that to us.

Yes, a loving parent, and that is what the Lord is, disciplines us when he needs to.
