Are you speaking of the Facon? I haven't been able to get that but hubby is happy with the Kosher Empire Turkey bacon and it's less expensive and more for the money. The beef kind is mostly fat.

Hmm, I am honestly not sure what brand it was, but it was pretty good. I still like Turkey bacon better though, and it is easier to find. :)

Empire sells the Kosher Turkey bacon.

You can contact them here to see if they sell in your area or where a service carries it to deliver.

If you know how to parse what that article actually says, it doesn't say what the headline says it says and the article doesn't actually say that the WHO ever actually said what the headline says.
The conclusion puts processed meats in the same category of cancer risk as tobacco smoking and asbestos. International Agency for Research on Cancer is the agency within the WHO that sets the classifications and made this statement. https://www-prod.iarc.fr/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Monographs-QA_Vol114.pdf

From the link:

Q. Processed meat was classified as carcinogenic to humans (Group 1). Tobacco smoking and asbestos are also both classified as carcinogenic to humans (Group 1). Does it mean that consumption of processed meat is as carcinogenic as tobacco smoking and asbestos?

A. No, processed meat has been classified in the same category as causes of cancer such as tobacco smoking and asbestos (IARC Group 1, carcinogenic to humans), but this does NOT mean that they are all equally dangerous. The IARC classifications describe the strength of the scientific evidence about an agent being a cause of cancer, rather than assessing the level of risk

I've heard of cauliflower pizza crust and cauliflower hot wings but that's going too far, To me eggplant is pretty and that's where it should end. Not a fan, even if you put smoky stuff on it, it has a bitten flavor my tongue does not abide. :)

You just haven't had it prepared right. For the very sensitive to their bitterness---peeling is the answer. The young ones you really don't need to peel. The older, the more prone to bitterness.

Also, some people swear by salting. You salt then weigh them down for about 30 minutes, rinse off the salt and any bitterness goes out with it. I always buy young ones and have never had to peel. Occasionally I have salted just to remove moisture depending on what I'm making, like lasagna, I always salt to get rid of excess moisture. They are wonderful and worth the effort.

If my Italian Grandmother were alive she wouldn't take kindly to hearing that. I've also tried my S-I-L's who came from a family known for their great cooking and couldn't take it either. I know all about the salting and the young ones, I've prepared it myself.

I haven't tried the Japanese variety yet maybe I should, I get them in my farm share but have given them away. They are small and young, they pick them that way so they'll grow more and their organic.

I also have trouble eating green peppers, it's a chemical in the green, I have no trouble and love red, orange and yellow ones.

OOpps! Glad to hear you have tried. I do like the Japanese ones. Some people just have a genetic predisposition against some things---to many, cilantro tastes like soap and it is genetic and nothing can be done about it---which I find terribly sad! I love the stuff.

Many Jews do not keep Kosher. I once heard that a Jewish man was taught in his family that eating shrimp was Kosher if you had cocktail sauce on it.

Some just shrug at G-ds rules thinking they are to hurt them and not help them and be in G-ds Will.
I firmly believe that G-d did not put me and Maine lobster together on Earth and not expect us to have a close, personal relationship.
