You mean which behaviors should people have, that would please me. Ask yourself that question and I'm sure we'll find common ground.

You need to get a tad better, at supporting what you write.

I've had a few different Christian organizations show up at my door over the years (JW's usually being an annual event). I've never had an atheist come to my door to preach atheism however.

I feel that God is still working on or with them, a true atheist would not care about anything related to God or us Christians.

Why not?
We share a society and the beliefs of my fellow citizens have a potential direct impact on my life.

I care about the beliefs of christians in the same way as I care about the beliefs of politicians.

A true Apostate would hate God and not even desire to look into the things of God... IMHO

I'm not an apostate, because I was never a believer to begin with.
Having said that, an apostate, assuming that you mean someone who was a believer and then became a non-believer, would not "hate" god because (s)he would not consider god to be real.

Your claim makes no sense.

Think about it: do you "hate" Shiva or Thor?

Atheists don't have any god. But that is something human must have to stabilize one's mind.

Some people require such beliefs to "stabilize their mind", I certainly agree to that.

So, they attack people who has god in order to get some relief.

No, that's not at all why I argue with fundamentalists.

Beliefs eventually translate into actions or lifestyles, which are seldom addressed here. If the country is going to hell in a handbasket (which I believe it is) it is because of wrong beliefs.

The vast majority of your country is christian. Half of them are pretty much fundamentalists believing in a literal genesis. It is indeed true that your country isn't doing very well, if we look through the mist of rich hollywood / sillicon valley extravaganza and just look at the statistics of the nation you live in.

When we compare those to the rest of the western world, we find that nations with far less degrees of belief, especially fundamentalist belief, do a lot better in a multitude of ways.

Not saying that there is a causation there, but there is definatly a correlation, making it very suspect.

It's kind of strange to me that your proposed solution to this, is actually MORE of the suspect thing. Seems to be a trend of certain "patriots". Kind of like trying to solve the gun problem, with even more guns.

Sure. But the common ground is not the important bit.
It's the non-common ground that is the problem.

If you ask an ISIS member if stealing is wrong, he'll say yes as well.

The message is subtle, but the kids get it, especially in the sciences.

Don't blame schools for the fact that gods aren't showing up in any of the sciences.
Not because of a grand conspiracy among evil scientists, but simply because no gods are showing up in any of the sciences.

If you add a god variable 'G' in like for example E = mc² + G, then 'G' works out to 0.

If you really wish to blame someone for that, blame your god for not showing up anywhere in the universe.

Why would schools include something in any science class, that doesn't show up anywhere?

If the vast majority of Americans practiced their faith we wouldn't have nearly as many problems, therefore it can be concluded that most are Christian-in-name-only, or what called "tares" in the bible.

If you want to know how society is effected by Christians who are actually serious about their faith check out the Mormons (I don't believe some of their ideas but I admire their lifestyle). In almost every important measure they are superior morally and ethically than the average.

When demographics are considered there is virtually no correlation between us and other western countries. A small amount of pee can ruin a big batch of soup.

Technically an apostate was never really a true believer. I do not like other gods or have any interest in them.

That's quite an accusation on your part. Moreover, you can't support the claim that it would be different if americans practiced religion in a way that you approve of.

Meanwhile, the correlation of data in secular democracies stays what it was: low in religion and high in overall societal health indexes.

What if the other gods are upset you don't worship them?
Could care less they are not gods. They just want to copy the God much like Lucifer, he wanted to dethrone God and be God and he got 1/3 of the angels to rebel.. so could care less what they think. It's not up to them.

...that atheists are more distressed about the belief of Christians than Christians are about the disbelief of atheists (on these boards). Thoughts, from either side?

This is relevant to creationists not having evidence for creation how?

Still waiting for your evidence that the aorta or the gut can send motor impulses to the larynx directly via the recurrent laryngeal nerve.
