A silly joke, but true in a way. How much of our lives actually requires conscious effort? We dont have to concentrate on metabolizing our food, we dont even have to think much about walking or eating or (all too often) talking. Of all the stuff we do, probably less then 1% requires conscious effort, and most of our thinking is just trivial anyways. Life if one of the most complex phenomenon in the universe, yet it does not require any conscious effort at all to exist and proliferate. So, why then does the origin of life (or the universe itself) require any consciousness. Why is evolution so hard to accept? This is not to say that I do not believe in God, in fact I do. I just dont see any kind of micro managing type of God.
