The book of Genesis was written unto man from the heavens.

2 Peter 3:8

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The text says ‘one day is like [or as] a thousand years’—the word ‘like’ (or ‘as’) is speech not to be used in the literal sense.

One day in the heavens is like one thousand life times on earth. When God made earth from the heavens, days had pass for him but billions of years had past here.

The scripture in the bible is from Heavens time not ours.

In Genesis it is very clear how our existence came to pass by the word of God as well, before primitive man even knew the concept of evolution or how nature was formed by it. Proving that man did not write this from his own knowledge.

Are you saying that, in Genesis 1:5, Moses should have written: "God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first as a thousand years."?

But evolution contradicts creation... Life comes from life, life doesn't come from non-life unless God creates. And not only that, things reproduce according to their kind both from my human observance and the book of Genesis says so also. So you're telling me that it didn't happen the order it did in Genesis? But rather what science is teaching?

How would the plants have survived without the sun?
Plants were created on the 3rd day, the sun on the 4th.
You also need to figure out what to do with "the evening and the morning" describing each day.

So you are saying a day in Genesis is a thousand years and a thousand years is a thousand lifetimes? Not even Evel Knievel could have made that leap in logic.

Even if it were 1,000 lifetimes for each day, what is that? 70,000 years for each day? After 6 days, that wouldn't even get you to half a million years, let alone billions.

Genesis 1:3-5

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

A perfect example of why the speech is not to be used in the literal sense.

So again, if this theory is true, the creation part isn't even real because God is speaking creation into existence and if you tried to adapt evolution into that it would look like God is not actually creating but telling what is there to evolve.. Therefore your religion is science and evolution and everything exploded from nothing and the bible is fake and there was no Jesus that believed in the Old Testament, BEFORE anyone ever said a thousand years is a day and a day is a thousand years to God.

If it's not literal, then how can it be said that God was establishing a seven day model (six for work, one for rest) for the purpose of human observance?

It always amazes me how quick literalists are to throw the baby out with the bathwater...

Well I believe the baby was that Old Law made into Human Form, and He believed in and fulfilled all the law and prophets through love, and to throw out one letter or change one part of it would have gotten you killed and all your copies destroyed at the time of or before that baby was alive.

And this has what to do with evolution being true?

So your beliefs are dependent on evolution being false?

No? I think you missed the point. If this Jesus believed every dot and cross in the Old Testament, how could it be wrong in any way, shape, or form? Nobody believed evolution was even a thing until less than a thousand years ago.. So why should we accept a doctrine that contradicts the belief system of the savior of the world?
