If its all so crystal clear and clear cut why are there so many different boards here on different interpretations of various bits ofscripture and theology? There are even boards here arguing that the first few verses of Genesis describe different time periods.

This passage clearly states we don't have the full picture and there is much we don't now and hence can and will make errors when making assumptions to fill bits in.

Real Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God and he died for our sins so we can be reconciled to God and have eternal life with Him if we accept his gift of grace.

Everything else is secondary to that and any one version and its theological positions on these secondary topics may or may not be correct and we won't know until we are in heaven.

No, the purpose is to explain life without requiring a deity, not to prove the deity does not exist even though the 2 are often mixed.
Current standard evolution also tries to explain how life got going (unsuccessfully so far) and then how it changed after that.
So there are 2 parts to it, it may be that the 1st part absolutely needs God but maybe not the second.

Science as a method cannot accept God unless it can also prove He exists. This does not mean a given scientist can't have faith, its just that his tool cannot include God. This will also mean that if God was involved then the tool (science) will definitely have limitations in what it can discover, not withstanding the difficulty of trying to decipher what happened eons ago that cannot be reproduced.

What you have said is true but there are some things the devil likes to teach mankind that turns them away from the bible simply because of what it teaches. "Its outdated" they say. "It was written by men" they say and they would rather trust the greedy liars of our time than the father's of wisdom we've had for ages now - who's truths came through one being and that being is the Rock.

Ignoring the Word that your God appears to have written in the rocks and in your DNA and, instead, favouring a highly questionable, literal interpretation of Genesis isn't exactly something that would please a God who had taken the trouble to provide evidence for how he Created and a brain with which you could understand that evidence. Or are you maintaining that the rocks and the stars and animals and the plants are not a form of the Word of God?
